The salt. The plowing. The winter. They take their toll on Minnesota roads. Then you have the complaints that not enough money is being spent on transportation infrastructure.

For the record.. I live in the west metro, I drive about 70 or so miles a week. The potholes are showing up earlier every year it seems, and I attribute that to the freeze/thaw cycles we get earlier every winter. (394 seems to have some large ones this week) I would hope that MNDOT is keeping track of how Canada and the Scandinavian countries deal with the issue since they likely have the same problems.
