Homemade Hot and Sour Soup

I don't have any, but I want some.

I don't have a recipe either.

Thatls why I'm making this stupid post.

 

Do any of YOU have a good recipe for hot and sour soup that you've actually tried, that you actually use and LIKE?

I tried one I found on the internet once before and it sucked. It was not at all like the thick, hot wonderful stuff I get at the Jade Garden.

Shannon you are a a gem! Connie, I wouldn't mind having a copy of yours either.

Unfortunately, Jules, the nearest Chinese place to my home does not deliver and I don't eat there. It's nasty.

I live in the sticks, hon. REALLY.

The closest place that has this soup is 20+ miles away. :(

I would love to be able to make my own every now and then, too, though.

LOL I have the drinks. I think there's even a bottl of Mescal down there.. or something with a worm smiling at me from inside the bottle.

Stacie, that would be wonderful. I'd love to find one that I really like and can keep the ingredients on hand for days like this when one of us is sick.

Jennifer, I'm always trying to figure out how to make my favorite dishes at home. It's not that I mind eating out. Heck I'd do it every night if I could, but... I'm a cheapskate. LOL
