So yesterday I ended with the photos of the marsh because my batteries died and the rest of the photos were on the old camera. Let's see if they are any good. DH uses it and they seem to come out fine, nobody has complained, so I guess it's fine for me.

I believe this is an Egret.

At the nature center they had a few critters so I took some photos, of course.
The first are stingrays, swimming around in this little shallow area. The children can stand on a stool and touch all the marine life inside. I thought that was pretty neat and I'm sure the kids love this part. They have to wash their hands first so nothing that is on their skin will get in the water and harm the fish. Then when they are finished they are supposed to wash up again.

A baby Alligator in a tank. Poor thing.

Alligator skull, I bet the kids love seeing those teeth.

I took this so I could remember the name. There is some growing outside and I didn't know what it was.

The macro on this camera leaves a lot to be desired.

This seems to me to be a fir tree with a lot of blue berries. I should have taken this with the good camera. It was so pretty.

As we were driving out from the nature center we passed this tree. I made DH back up so I could get a photo. Is this amazing or what. It takes up the photo, from left to right and top to bottom. I bet Tonia will like this and anyone else who loves these big old trees. I can't wait until Spring and Summer when it has leaves.

A few different kind of ducks and water fowl swimming in the lake. As you can see, it's about time to head home.

We didn't see any.
Well, we had a nice time visiting this part of the State Park. I can definitely see why I decided to get a new camera. There were a few shot of Egrets that my new camera would have zoomed in on and captured, but with this camera they are just white blobs.
I can't wait to see more of this State Park. There seems to be many trails and places to explore. Who knows, maybe I'll be to see an Alligator! Now if I'll be able to hang around and take a picture is another story. We'll see.

Victoria I so want to see an alligator, but I think I'll keep my distance when I try to get a photo. Thanks goodness for zoom! Loved that story. Thanks.
