Good evening, members of Comment Speedway! How are things going with you today? We just broke 1,000 members, and we're currently #70 on the Gather Groups list! So to celebrate, we're going to have a good old-fashioned contest!
As you probably know by now, all articles, images, and videos are welcome here at Comment Speedway (as long as they don't violate Gather's Terms of Service); we help them receive ten comments and then remove them from the group to make room for others! (Time-sensitive articles may be removed at the group owner's option one month after their time passes.) Articles that do not allow comments will also be removed.
Each week, Comment Ignition will select some of our unsung articles, images, and/or videos that have received three comments or less and thus need an extrakick into the spotlight.
However, for this Contest Edition, we're adding an additional twist. This edition of Comment Ignition will last from 12:01 AM, January 13th, to 11:59 PM, January 19th. In short, you have seven days to participate in this Comment Ignition!
Rules:
1) Articles, images, or video linked within the body of this article are the links you need to use to participate in this contest.
2) To participate, you click on a link, observe the content, and leave a comment on it as normal.
3) When an article, image, or video reaches ten comments, it is removed from this list, and another article, image, or video is added in its place.
4) When an piece of content is removed from the list, each person who left one (or more) of the first ten comments on that content as part of the contest will receive 1 Point. You cannot receive multiple Points for multiple comments on a single piece of content. (This means that a piece of content must reach at least ten comments for you to receive Points!)
5) First, second, third, etc. places are determined by the number of Points members have at the end of the week. In order to win a prize, you must be a member of Comment Speedway!First Prize for this contest is a $25.00 gift certificate to Amazon.com; Second and Third Prize for this contest is a $10.00 gift certificate each! In addition, one random participant will receive a $10.00 gift certificate just for participating!

Keep watching this article - I'll keep swapping out / swapping in content all week as individual content hits ten comments, so there's bound to be something to catch everyone's interest!
I love when you send out lists, I see things and learn things that are new to me.
can we look for speedway stuff that is less than 10?
The newest content is always at the bottom of the lists for their section - for example, in the articles, #1 through #60 were the original articles on the list, and #61 through #83 are articles that have been added to replace articles that have been removed.
Only content on this list will count towards the contest, although of course it's always appreciated to help ALL content out when you can!

If my finances ever get back on track, I might have to do this more often - this is kinda fun!
Incidentally, as I've hit the point where there are only four people with videos with three comments or less (and in most cases, each with five or more videos), I'm starting to pick videos with more than three comments, to get them some exposure too. Don't worry, I'll still be focusing on featuring videos with fewer comments, and all selected videos will be at least one month old unless we completely run out of videos.
Austin -- I'm sorry that I overlooked adding this when you announced it. This is another GREAT idea, and I'll enjoy watching the progress.
