cause i'm thinking this: the shadow of the grate doesn't look like a shadow would be in water...wouldn't it be refracted some? and the grate would have to be resting on something opposite the point of that little tower thing, or else it would be partially tilted into the water, which you could see...

*****Attention*****

This is a picture looking down into a huge tank used for training of underwater welders.
I climbed up the outer stairs to take the photo. This tank is at Miami Divers In Florida.
