Chains.

a girl bound by her thoughts; never to know what is more.
waiting for help....feeling the chains come up around her ankles,
crushing her legs together, gathering around her wrists,
with every move they get tighter. they bound her up, they wrap
around her face. She cannot breathe. She tries to grab for
something but nothing is there.
her thoughts seem to have bound her in chains. Traumatized by
her past, the thoughts and memories never seem to go away-never
to know freedom from her past, she falls.
she has given up a fight--bound forever in chains

This is a very disturbing illusion, not only are the chains tightening with each struggle to be free, but the defeatism at the end...
I was touched by this because I can still feel those chains myself.
