Hi All....

 

Just a quick post from me before I start on my homework. It's been a really LONG week. Getting back into work and school has been tough! I had to start work at 6am yesterday so that I could leave and run my son to the orthodontist and then head back to work. I was sitting in class at 6pm thinking... wow... I've been going for 12 hours. THREE hours later class ended and I started my 30 minute drive home. My schedule wears on me sometimes!!!

 

BUT today's highlight was our yearly kick off meeting at work. I have been there 18 months and this was my first full year to be elligible for my first perfect attendance award! Yipppeee..... $50 for me. Now if I make it another year without absences or tardys... I get $100 next January. It builds up each year. We had a fella that has gone 17 years with perfect attendance and he got a $850 check today! NICE!

 

SO how is eveyone else doing?????

Good. That is a pretty interesting attendance policy. Looks like the company knows that cash is the best incentive.

my day was pretty good until i opened the electric bill.

Work was okay, but I had to stop Walmart to pick up some things. They never have enough lines open and it took longer to check out than it did to shop.

Hard day my son woke up with a toothache and swollen face. Two baby teeth haven't come out and a molar is pushing down causing an infection. He has some medical issues, so the regular dentist can't help we have to go to the Children's Hospital dental clinic and wait tomorrow and hope they can see him. It is a hour and half drive at rush hour, probably two hours with a cranky kid.

Congratulations! A year of perfect attendance would make my boss so happy!!! I went back to work on Jan. 2, but it's still hard to get back in the habit. How are you going to spend your $50?

THANKS FOR ASKING, MINE STARTED OUT GOOD, THEN I RECIEVED A CALL FROM MY 18 YEAR OLD. HE WAS IN JAIL FOR DRING WHILE BARRED. HE TOLD ME WHERE HIS CASH WAS STASHED, HAD TO GO OUT AND PICK HIM UP. GOT LOST, DROPPED OFF THE MONEY. WAS SO UPSET AND IN SO MUCH PAIN THAT I GOT TIRED OF WAITING AND TOLD THE JAIL TO TELL HIM TO WALK HOME OR CALL A GREIND. HE IS OLD ENOUNGH TO KNOW BETTER!

I put my $50 into my savings towards the new kitchen floor. That makes $100 total so far towards the 2008 goal! I've got my first Gather $50 home depot card and I figure this money wasn't expected so it will go into the "floor fund" too! :)

Definately not getting the perfect attendance award...home sick with a stomache bug...tomorrow too! Don't ya just love those incentives tho', we have our yearly bonus coming soon....depends on our store sales after our year ending which is the 3rd week in January. Then we get it sometime in March!

I had a alright day. I went to physical therapy and occupational thearapy for about 2 hours. I go because I have ms and I can't walk very well from the damage it has caused me

That was a great reward Alie. My day was pretty hectic. Two grandsons moved in with me & started school this semester. I feel like I'm starting all over again.

....I don't know, Alie...I think I'd forgo the $50 in return for a paid day at the beach (even if it IS January! ;^)....
