Cleaning the Car

How often do you clean your car?

I have been sick since Dec 25, and just recently have gotten back on my feet. I am now considering cleaning my car today, I might have to go to the nearest car wash to vaccume out the dog hair since my drive way is a mud pit and I don't want to deal with the shop vac.

My car gets a bath once a month. I keep it parked and don't drive it. I use the EL here in Chicago to get to school as I am only 3 stops away. I don't even know why I own a car. LOL.

The inside at least once a week and everytime I am going out and taking a passenger with me. Washing the car itself and least once a month.

John usually washes and waxes ours twice a year and then maybe 2 other times he'll just wash and clean them. We're in a drought so we're not allowed to wash our cars right now, I guess its been about April since they were washed.

I know what you mean. We just did all of our cars and what a pain it was but they are all nice and fresh. It makes such a difference. If I were you I would go to a place and vacume the car out otherwise you will be the one in the mud!

I try to keep mine clean inside most of the time. The outside I dont wash till after it has been really snowy for a while and the car goes from black to white in salt.

I take the garbage out when I have to drive extra people and have to make room for them to sit...does that count?

I just loan it to one of my kids, and because they are too embarrassed to pick up friends, they clean it, ha ha. Take care.

I try to clean it once a week but its a Yukon and my kids tear it up so I usually make them clean it for me :)

My car is a pigsty, I have folding chairs, ropes, leashes, dog toys,starbucks cups galore, a tool box, bags of clothes for Goodwill, boxes of books for the library,and so much more. And the dog hair is rediculous.

When my husband was driving the truck all the time, I cleaned out the car about once every other month. We only drove the car about once a week, though.

Now that the truck isn't running right, my husband takes the car to work everyday. He's always leaving stuff in there, and it drives me crazy anytime I get in there. He even fills Elliott's car seat with junk! So now he's finally getting to where he cleans it out before we go anywhere as a family.

As far as washing the car, we drive on dirt roads to get to our house (even though ours is paved), so we don't wash it very often.

We live on a gravel road so my car always looks dirty. The sunroof leaks so I can't go through an automatic wash so..... it doesn't get washed very often. My husband offered to permanently seal the sunroof because he can't locate parts for it. Not sure what to do.

I pick up what is within reach most every time I get out of the car, but that leaves a lot of stuff that the kids and I leave in the car. The only time it really gets cleaned out is when we know we will have friends or family riding in the car with us. Pitiful, right?

Having a reason to clean the car is a good thing!

Well the car did not get cleaned today, client called and wanted pictures taken at her son's birthday party, oh lucky me but thats another story. Then I had to drop off the cd for printing, then had to run my dog to the vet and yes that is another story. I then got a call that my new camera came in, so stopped at the bank transferred funds, I did not have my lap top with me so then I went and picked up my new Nikon D300. Then I had to stop at the library and get some refernce material but forgot to take out the books to leave as a donation. I just got home, and I forgot to eat lunch again, and it is 4:30. Guess I will try again tomorrow, or tonight or um Saturday. sigh, maybe I will call a detailer and have it done

Today, I have to take my neice to the preschool and then swing around a pick up my autistic nephew and bring him to the babysitters. It is raining, with thunder and lightening. Oh my, I hope it lets up soon.
Its suppose to get better this afternoon with temps in the 40's. Maybe, I can clean the car today!
I have a great big van. With all the "words" I have to deliver daily there is always a lot of extra paper and plastic bands and other assorted pieces of trash that accumualate daily....so I have to clean it out every day or I would get overwelmed by all the garbage...

I haven't cleaned mine in a while. I should probably do that this weekend before it gets any colder or we get snow. :)

My car is a bit messy but it mainly needs to have the junk mail thrown in the garbage. I will probably do that tomorrow. Thanks for sharing and good luck!

Not often. I don't dirty the inside, it is always clean. But, there is lots of dirt and mud on the outside. I wait for hubby to do that.
