Who Do You Think Gives The Best Comments on Gather?

First, let me say that when you do comment, Heather, I appreciate it. I wish I could comment more, but with my stupid slow computer... We've been over that before.

Anyway... I appreciate the comments from all of my contacts. Maria always puts some thought into them. Bethany makes me feel better. (But so do so many folks.) Rory usually has rather long comment.

Heck, I don't know. I do know there are some folks who post and post and post - articles, games, poems, whatever - but from whom I never see one single comment.

I hit post before I meant to. :-) When I said I didn't see any comments from some folks, I meant not only on my stuff but anywhere.

I think I give the best comments;)) no really mine come from the heart! I never do a copy paste same thing! Not being sarcastic either..

Not sure if I comment enough or not.. I think I do pretty good! But when I do I make it short and sweet!!

I love Susan L's comments & Michelle C to name a couple - there are so many great commenters out there & so many of them have become friends as well.

That is so hard to pin down. Everyone has their own way, and the good on Gather respect everyone. So I would have to say that everyone has a "great comment". There are those who are not nice, but I do not really call them Gather people. They are just here. In general, all of us do a good job. Ellen B

So many give heartfelt responses, no matter how long or short, you know their heart is there. I value that. If I have to single someone out, I would say Judi J. She just has this way about her. Often, reading her, I feel hugged.

Many people leave hearfelt comments, and I enjoy reading them whether they are in response to one of my articles or the articles of others....but I have always felt that one of the best commentors is John F. Walker...he puts a lot of meaning into his comments, they are never generic and he has such a command of languages, either in English or in Spanish, they always feel special....

If you've ever read Elsie Duggan's comments you've been blessed. She shares her heart, her wisdom and her charm in every single one. I can't tell you how I look forward to reading her comments and mail messages!

Ahhh, Heather -- There must be a jillion correspondents on this site. An honest answer would take a serious poll and lots of careful analysis. I generally associate the reponses with names after reading several from the same source.

I vote for Kimberly. She's the only one I can remember at the moment.

I think most of us comment from our heart, so I guess the answer would be whoever's comments that meets your need for a certain post. We are all here to help each other through this messed up world, that has been made very clear to me since I have joined Gather. It warms my heart so much to see that there are so many wonderful caring people out there! People who care and want to help others just as I do! I had almost given up thinking that anyone in our world cared about others like this and it renews my hope that we really can straight this crazy world out. There are still going to be the sicko's in this world, but I now feel that the majority of us are just normal loving caring people and that is a wonderful discovery to find. Thank you Gather for showing me this !

I love all the comments I receive! Short or long, poetry and prose or just a simple Great, they all make me smile.

I love everything I recieve too. If someone is taking the time to respond, I am very happy. It can be short or long. The only thing I do not like, is one person on this site that copy and pastes the same stupid remark that has nothing to do with the topic on everything.

There are many people who really put time into commenting and do a wonderful job...

Most of my fellow foodies leave great comments: Sue S., Lindy T., Katie Scarlett, Marianne M., Lynn A. and Connie C. come to mind the quickest.

I'm with Kimberly. Elsie Duggan's comments are always great.

This is a great question. Interesting responses, too. I like Elsie Duggan's thoughtful comments and Lisa (I love loons) comments.

Elsie Duggan and William Dotani both give good comments usually. They always give something more specific, and they Make it a personal statement for your article, not something that could be on any article.

It would be difficult to single out one or even two people. The comments I have received have been sincere and thoughtful; definitely not 'generic'. However, I don't get that many comments, and the ones I do get are usually from the same people. I enjoy reading everyone's comments and make every effort to respond positively to those I comment on.

I like to leave real comments, I'm not a fan of the generic ones. Generic ones to me say "I don't care what you are writing about, I'm just here for the points" or "I really don't care or have time for your writings, but I'll leave a generic comment so you'll know I was here and I want points". Why bother at that point? You're taking up space for nonsense and if you're just point whoring, don't bother, you'll ruin it for the real users who want to make a difference on this site.
