CAN YOU BELIEVE IT.... SUMMER HERE ALREADY???

Shortly after new Years I went into my local Target store and they have their swim suits and summer wear already up!  Anyone want to go swimming or on a picnic?????  NOT!   I just can't believe it.  Have any of you seen summer stuff out already?  Is it just because I live in CA or do other states with snow and cold weather have summer stuff out already?  I'm curious!

Someone posted about a walgreens ad and mentioned they had all kinds of sunscreen and summer type items on sale. It's amazing how quick they are.

A lot of people go on vacations in the winter to summery destinations- especially during Spring Break.

I wait until the first week of summer, when I can get the kids each a brand new bathing suit for 30-50% off already. ;)

I haven't seen it yet, but I remember last year the bikinis were out before Valentine's day. It's WISCONSIN I don't think we need those just yet, lol!

I do not know what it is like in stores here in Virginia, but I wish chain stores would carry that stuff all year round. You know annoying it was living in southern Arizona and not being able to buy new shorts until May because the way they decide on the seasons. Or not being able to buy a swimsuit in August because you should have already bought it for the season.

Seems like it used to be called "Cruise Wear," for those lucky individuals taking winter vacations to warm places. Maybe it still is???

I guess seeing bathing suits out this time of year would encourage one to definitely stick to any weight loss plans they may have as a new year's resolution.

Hmmmm I've actually WISHED our stores would carry swimming suits around here during the winter months!

My kids grow fast! Most kids do... It's a PITA trying to find swimming wear for School in winter time and from late June to Jan. my kids have easily outgrown their swimming stuff.
I know thats like I went to the dollar store all winter clothes on clearance

don't you just hate that? I know I do, like I hate seeing Christmas ornaments in July, they are rushing me right through whatever time I have left. I have to tell you, I looked in my purse today and saw a card from my cardiologist, I have an appointment for July 8, so guess he expects me to make it until then, maybe I do need a swim suit, this is cute ,

I have to say, I wish the summer stuff would get put out here...they still have the 'winter clothes' on clearance, so the summer stuff should be arriving shortly. I say this because I am in Florida, and yes, it got cold here for a few days, and it still cools down at night, but it also get up to 85 degrees some afternoons, and my big butt only fits into one pair of shorts, and I can't buy a pair anywhere, because they have winter stuff out! HA! Maybe I will have to fly to the other coast to buy a pair of shorts!

yes, i have already seen Summer stock as well as Easter items!.....i figured Val-Day items would be displayed,but Easter?....Costco has swimsuits displayed next to down coats...LOL...if i had a brick n' mortar display window i would have some fun by dressing a mannequin in a swimsuit AND a down coat n' boots!....hehehe

I live in North Carolina and wen to Target the other day and they have summer stuff up there already also. So, it's not just in your state. I don't get it either. In the middle of winter (when people are wearing heavy coats) putting summer stuff up?

I live in North Dakota, and winter coats are already marked way down on clearance. We need winter coats right up into May sometimes here!

In SC I've seen a lot of summer clothes and summer items on the shelves. The weather has been in the 70's almost every day for a while now. I have all the windows open today and went to the park yesterday.

In southeast Louisiana, the summer clothes usually stays out year around.

Uhh, yeah not here. Because it's still freezing cold, and it's suppose to snow tonight, so I doubt anyone would buy one unless they were for really cheap.
BUt usually by the end of Spring Break usually they have a few things out.

Well, Walmart naturally has summer stuff all year round and can be bought any time, supposedly because many people travel, though as for the sales and whatnot, haven't saw any big sales or anything for the summer items yet, though, I'm really looking forward to summer. I hate cold weather, unless I'm spending time with someone I love with the coldness or whatnot. ;)

Yup! But it makes it easier to find charcoal and lighter fluid! We grill a lot and just a month ago had a hard time finding them! I was at the dollar tree the other day and they had their Easter stuff out! Geez! Not even Valentines Day yet!!

Miz Trudy - I'm dreaming about being half this size by summer so I'm not about to go anywhere near any kind of shop where I can see those teeny little bathing suits.
