It should definitely be an interesting race between Obama and Hillary. It just depends on which person's supporters came out the heaviest.

looks like it might be awhile before anything definite is known on the democratic side, an interesting and tight race.

Great speech from McCain.

The race is so tight for the Dems, 1st or 2nd won't matter.

I'm really encouraged by the reports of the turnout. Huge turnout. Awesome.

McCain's speech would have been great if he didn't read it directly from the podium in front of the world and emaciate it.

The words were wonderful but the delivery was horrendous. It left one wondering if he truly meant what he was saying.

McCain is probably the most honorable candidate out there (Republican or Democrat).
He has my trust & my vote if he gets the nomination.

McCain gave a great speech. This momentum will carry on to South Carolina and Michigan. Its amazing; 6 months ago, McCain was all but dead. And now look at him. He has made a huge comeback and he his now the frontrunner for the Republicans.

Well, the polls got the Democratic race wrong! Clinton and Obama are in a close race, but I think Clinton will win. The people of New Hampshire chose issues over personality (as I thought they would). Now the media and people will actually take a look at his record instead of his speeches. I think that after this, he will be a long shot for the nomination.

The forntrunner for the GOP nomination is the person who at this point in time has the most delegates and that is Mitt Romney.

After three contests Romney has won Wyoming and come in second in Iowa and New Hampshire. The winner of Iowa recieved single digits in New Hampshire and the winner in New Hampshire recieved single digits in Iowa. This means Mitt Romney is the only candidate who has a consistent following of supporters.

Speech, smeech, I don't care what they say or how they say it. I have to look back and see their record to know what they stand for. That's true of both parties.

As for the polls... they are often wrong. I think polls manipulate the vote as so many want to vote for "the winner."

Hillary took the very worst and survived. This was a terrible week; huge defeat in iowa, polls telling of certain defeat, uncertainty in her own organization. But she has won. Hillary is now stronger than ever. Her campaign is more energized than ever. She is the frontrunner and she is invincible once again. The media love fest over Obama will end, and he will take a lot of hits on his record and inexperience. His great speeches won't offer him much of a defence. This is going to be a great campaign!

I have the utmost respect for Mr. McCain...but in good faith do not believe he is the one to make the changes we need....It bothered me how he had to read the speech he did and had someone or several others write it for him....that did not set well with me...plus sadly he looked really tired and worn down...He will continue to get great things done in the background...and we need people like that also...

I was thrilled the polls and pundits were wrong...dear God that made me feel there is still hope for the ordinary man and woman in this country. Her comment that she listened to the folks in NH and found her voice was just exactly what I wanted to hear...and she will have my vote...Obama is fabulous speaker...but he is just to green and to young to take on the huge responsibility that will be taken by the next President...will be great VP and groomed for the next election...and then he will be more than ready and will have my vote...not this go around tho...

I watched MSN all evening and was thinking it should have been on every station that was not cable..so all the people could watch..in place of Deal or No Deal....and some of the other junk that is on Tuesday evening...

I feel she will take Michigan, Nevada....No Carolina is questionable...but regardless of what the states will be....the final day will be hers...regardless of polls, or pundits opinions...or predictions...that is just chatter, chatter, chatter...and regardless of who runs on the Republican ticket...She will walk away with the votes...and it will be no surprise to me.

I pray God keeps them off safe and focused on what needs to be changed in this country and we regain the respect and pride we lost these last 7 years...

What a ride! It was a wonderful voting day in my small town, with huge numbers of young people coming to vote, with kids in tow.
I worked for John Edwards, and can only hope his third place inspires him to fire Joe Trippi. From the very beginning of the NH campaign, we locals were frustrated with the out of staters who were brought in to run his campaign. They ignored the tried and true ( and passionate) local organizers, and focussed on thousands of phone calls and tally sheets. John Edwards encouraged those who attended his many rallies to email him with questions - but never answered the emails. His original positions on the environment, housing, and sustainable energy fell by the wayside as he became more strident in attacking the insurance companies. I hope he's learned something by seeing the NH results, and returns to his original platform. He has brilliant ideas, that never got out there in the last months.
Obama had an amazing organization in NH - his supporters were passionate and positive , and ORGANIZED , and I was surprised he didn't win. But I'm pleased with a very exciting primary, and will work for any Democrat that wins the nomination. And congratulations to Hillary!

Kudo to the voters of NH who refused to let the national media pundits tell them how to vote. Obama made some serious rookie mistakes. He equated big crowds with big votes, he failed to see if all tehoses college students were are actually registered to voters in NH and he did not "get out the vote." I am not suprised at McCain's victory. I live in MA and the people of New Eengland know Mitt Romney for what he is " political chameleon." People in NH take their voting very seriously and look at the isses, the candidaites and compare them. In the end, the decided on experience and recognized hardwork and sincerity.

The enthusiasm across the board, for participating in the democratic process was inspiring. Lets hope the vote in the Supreme Court today reinforces this wave of interest in voting. They will be hearing Indian's voter ID law...could be a big blow against democracy if they vote their usual party lines.

I wonder why the Republicans are praying that Hillary Clinton becomes the nominee for the Democrats? Do they know something that the people who don't read don't know?

It sounds like most of Hillary's support is coming from the old ladies, which means young ladies need to come out and actually vote! I would love to see a McCain-Obama race because for the first time since I could vote I'd have trouble deciding who I want to win because I like them both, which means we'll end up with Hillary vs. Huckabee and I'll contemplate moving to Canada.

BTW, what the hell happened to Giuliani? I guess 9/11 could only carry him so far.

The pundits were right on for the Republican side. They missed on the Democratic side because the young voters-under 30-did not show up as much as the women in general. Hillary won the womens vote 47% to 34% for Barack. 16% of those voting were in the under 30 group. This is an increase over 2000 and 2004 but still shows that this group, if they came out and registered in higher numbers could influence the election. ARE you out there myspace youtube etc. Get away from the video games and get involved.
Actually I was very impressed at those young people who were involved. I met many of them at the Milly's Tavern Debate party. I observed all and democracy is much more alive with the youth of america involved.
McCain is a good man-you can really tell by listening to right wing talk radio-they dis him at every opportunity. For example WRKO from Boston was at the Radisson in Manchester broadcasting. I found the comments of Michale Graham to be sexist, racist, derogatory and baseless. He puts down McCain at every opportunity/ Michael is a coward hiding behind a big microphone and being cheered on by mindless dittoheads.
He preaches to the choir.

I was amazed in my home town at the diversity across the board-It was nice to see the children with their parents as if democracy is instilled early, and we can save this world for them-there will and is hope! Peace to all!

Footnote: McCain should have won South Carolina in 2000. He was swift boated by bushit. A decorated veteran plutoed by a deserter.
By the way I voted for Hillary as I answer to a higher power called 'the wife.'
I could have voted for any of the 4 Democrats that were in the debate. They are all qualified. I voted a write in for Richardson as Vice President. His experience will be needed by whoever gets the nomination.

I am very dissapointed that Hillary won NH, but it doesnt mean anything yet. I feel like Hillary got the win because she pulled the emotional card, I dont feel that she was real and I fell like Obama is the best for the job.

I find all this talk about Hillary's tears and the percentages the candidate received is Bull.
Just like the main stream media no one is talking about THE ISSUES and where the candidates stand on the issues.

I am upset obama lost but I also think that the media was foolish for jumping the gun by putting Obama so far ahead in the polls after just one victory. They were deffinitely trying to manipulate this one. They have their differences for sure, and the edge will be given to the one with the most endurance to get their point across. I want to hear more about their issues and less about their position in the polls.

I think we should focus on the issues like Mitch said.
