I've found the three school yearbooks that I have from when I was a kid going to school in the 1970's. And of course I wanted to share them!
First I have the 1971-1972 yearbook from Panama School. It was a small school at that time, almost a regular little country school but it's grown so much since then that its now more of a Panama School District and its huge. It was a great school to go to at the time I was there. It was located a very long way from our house and I rode the bus to it. The school was located near the corner of Taft Highway and some other street I can't remember and it was completely surrounded by farmers fields.

I was in the 5th grade that year. My teacher was Mr. Miller and I remember him as being a good teacher. I liked him and that school year.

More of a close up of me in the 5th grade.

The next year, 1972-1973 school yearbook, I was in the 6th grade.

I had Mr. Thorpe for a teacher that year. I remember him as being a little odd but a nice enough teacher.
We had a separate reading teacher that year, it was a Mr. Ramos and I couldn't stand him. He was mean. Awww, the memories we carry from our youth!

Then I have the 1975 "Echo" yearbook from Thompson Junior High School. I went there for two years, both 7th and 8th grades. I just have the yearbook from when I was in 8th grade though. I do NOT have good memories of this school nor the people that I went there with.

I didn't even know I was in this picture on this page until the yearbook came out that year!

8th grade me!

I remember my favorite teacher, Mr. Burrows, who taugh English. I loved her class and pretty much her too! She was super nice!

Those are the only school yearbooks that I have. I'm not surprised though cuz once I went to high school, that was even worse! It was a real bad time for me. I didn't even graduate from high school. I did the GED and two year degree, got an Associate of Arts in History and then went on to the University where I did not finish my B.A. :-( Maybe someday! :-)

Strategies for Living With a Mental Illness Tip 4
I'm sure there are a few exceptions, but I get the impression that most of us had a larger proportion of negative school year memories than positive. I guess that's life.
