I recently saw a programme on TV showing women who could
not have children, or greaving for a child, then buy a moulded doll
looking like a real baby and behave as if it was real., spending hundreds
on things for their child. Even to buy a pram and take it for a walk.
It was one of the strangest things I've seen, and if I knew someone
who had done this, I would not know what to say without hurting
them. The husband of one of the women could not accept what his
wife had done, and would not look at the doll.

In all seriousness, I hope that they will adjust.
I think those women would have been horrified
if they were classed in the psychological brackets. As far as they are concerned, what
they are doing is perfectly normal.
And they are not saving money, as the doll
may need repairing from time to time.
Or as one woman did, was to buy another one
saying it was to be the others sibling.
The problem with adopting, is that one day the bady will be grown, and leave the mother.
