I've just totally fallen in love with donkeys. They're so much fun to have around. We had Donkey Doodle Dandy for several years and he was great, but now that he has two girlfriends (and one of them has a baby), it's been such a kick!

Bear is half Australian Shepherd (his father) and half English Shepherd (his mother). It's a wonderful combination, and he's a remarkable dog. Such a character, too.

Yes, Bear is extremely tolerant. His instincts tell him that when a farm animal wants to inspect you, you just sit or lay down and stay as still as possible. But sometimes you can see some other part of his brain thinking, 'I really want this inspection to be over!' ; )
