My water broke .. I'm in the hospital

My water broke a few days ago. I am 18 weeks pregnant. The babies heart is still beating and the baby seems ok. My body needs to make more water for the baby to survive. They will be doing more tests on monday... and we will go from there. They will let me know what they are going to do then and what my options are.

I am on someone else's computer .. don't know when I will be back online again.

I am a nervous wreck for sure! Total bedrest til the baby is born...I cried the first few days. They said the baby has a 50/50 chance of survival if I make it another month or more pregnant. If not it has no chance. Or if I get an infection the baby will have to be born immedietly. Then my jerk boss has basically fired me. He's demanding his key .. the heartless prick! Like I'm supposed to bring it to him .. or anyone else I know. Ha .. if he wants it he can come to the hospital and get it!! Some people!

Check on the Family Leave Act rules ... it may not be legal for him to fire you over this! You DO NOT need the stress right now anyway so it may be best not to work for someone like that any more, but if your job is essential and you're afraid you won't find something elsewhere, then see if it can be salvaged legally.

Dena, your boss can not fire you over this, that is why the Family Leave Act was put into place, contact a lawyer. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your baby, just take it easy and rest and try not to think about your boss.
