Whether your New Year's resolution focused on the purse or waistline, the Turkey Gnocchi Ragu I made last night is a winner. The ground turkey gets zesty flavor from red bell peppers, basil and oregano (I used fresh herbs which helped). It's very easy to make too, and cost well under $10 for to make 4 substantial servings. Let's see, tasty, inexpensive, healthy...what's not to like?
I can't take credit for the creation, found it in Cooking Light, so I'll simply link to their posting of the recipe.
Wine Pairing: I paired the meal with a montepulciano; any Italian red would be a good choice.
