Who is your favorite American President... and why

You might not like George W or be a Bill Clinton fan... but they can't all be rotten can they? So let us know who is your favorite and why.

The only stipulation is that you must have been alive when they were the sitting president... so unless you're Methuselah- you can't say George Washington or Abe Lincoln.

 Oh, one more thing, let's be nice and respect others opinions--- no cat fighting or name calling.

John Quincy Adams. I read a good biography about him. One of the most impressive figures in shaping our country and its political history.

ronald wilson reagan: promised three things when elected at 70 yrs. old.
1. bring back the economy from the disaster of Carter-nomics.
2.defeat the soviet union a plus the berlin wall came down.
3. build up our military. 3for3 GIPPER!!!1

I have to go with Roosevelt. He wasn't perfect but I think he & Eleanor did more for our country in most areas than any president since.

Bill Clinton............this country was in much better shape.
I'm going with Jimmy Carter. He's a very wise man with a great moral center. Non condescending attitude and really wanted what was best for the average man. He was the first President I voted for after reaching the voting age.
