Good Morning Gather or Audrey's Crazy Coffee Club

Good dreary morning all.  It is very foggy in Coralville this morning. I can barely see in the neighbor's window, across the street.  Just kidding.  It is to get to 50 degrees today and rain.  More snow goes bye bye.

I have church this morning and our choir is singing a piece from the cantata. Many didn't get there the day of the cantatas because the weather wasn't the best, and these songs are still appropriate for this season. 

I will try again this afternoon to take down my Christmas decorations.  I was grannynapped yesterday by a good friend and her two children.  We took a long drive and went bald eagle watching at several places.  The day was cloudy when we started but about 3 PM the sun came out.  I just happened to have my camera with me. The eagles were too far away for good pictures of them but I did get some good ones along the river of the ice melting and winter scenery.

 

I have about an hour this morning so hope some of you will come in and have some coffee and conversation.

Hi Viki, I am having tea(for real) too. I like good old Liptons black in the morning but drink a lot of other teas and herbals teas during the day.

I am going to get a new range for my kitchen, and a new over the range microwave. I now have 600.00 worth of cards from HD saved up.

Good for you. I am not a runner but I do walk for exercise. A friend and I walk 3 days a week at the mall(brisk walking) and we cover 3 miles in about 55 min. I used to be faster but the mall slows you some. I also go to a gym 3 days a week.

Hello everyone....cold day here in Scotland...started out with the sun shining so I took advantage of it and took myself a walk. Typical of Scotland, the temp has dropped, the clouds have rolled in, and it is dark at 2.30pm!! I am away to the mall with my mother, they have a wheelchair right there at the front for her. I better fo fast as she is indicating that she might just stay in!!Oh and they have a great latte there we just have to have!!

Aimee, the home shows are great to watch, but their secret is lots of behind the scenes workers. They couldn't do it in two days otherwise. I expect my kitchen redo will take several weeks as I am doing a lot of work myself. I want a new countertop and sink but will have to have that done by a professional.

Yeah, painting freshens everything up. My daugther wanted lime green, with an asian theme. So painted a big Chineese letter on the wall. But it looks nice. It's the shelves, pillows and the paper shutters that are taking forever!

Good morning everyone! I'm new around gather...I live in Ohio and it's going to be a warm day today. Upwards of 50 degrees. I would really like a cafe mocha if anyone has any great recipes for it. My favorite one comes from Starbucks! But I have tried to make it at home and nothing I have tried tastes the same. I'll be heading off to church soon too.

This is a great idea...coffee in the morning with the girls :)

I had a new house built and these are absolutely the "crappiest" they had along it the floor on which all the design has worn off. So I need more than a paint job, I'm afraid.

I try to always comment on at least 10 images a day and on 10 stories a day. If it is someone I'm not connected with I invite them to be a friend. I figure if I like their photos and articles then I would like them as a friend. Also it helps the points to post a picture with your articles. They are readily available on the internet and easy to save to your computer to post.

When I was a 4H leader I taught the girls to sew starting with a tote bag which is all straight stitching. Peasant blouses and simple skirts or shorts followed.
