Weight Watchers Great Cooking Every Day
250 Delicious Recipes Plus Techniques and Tips from the Culinary
Institute of America
Paper back 2001 ISBN: 0764544799
color photos: yes
My goal is to eat healthier this year and loose some weight. I
decided to start counting weight watchers points again and this book just
seemed to be calling my name, since I hadn't cooked from it yet. I got it
a little while back from paper back swap. This book has chef's tips,
weight watchers points, and nutritional information included with every
recipe. the gorgeous color photos of the recipes look very inviting.
The recipes number more than 250 and are designed to help you eat healthy
on the winning points weight watchers plan. Even if you don't follow
weight watchers and are just trying to eat healthy or count calories
then I think you'd enjoy this book.
The book is laid out very nicely with most recipes all on one page.
Sometimes there are chef's tips (from the CIA) included at the bottom of
the page. The ingredient list is to the right or left of the
instructions depending on which page it's on. The first chapter is called,
Healthy Eating in the Twenty-first Century and has some very helpful tips,
hints and suggestions, from the Culinary Institute of America.
There are quiet a few recipes I want to try including: Pizza with
Wild Mushroom and Goat Cheese, Spicy Southern Style Shrimp, Spicy Asian
Grilled Shrimp, Chicken and Shrimp Pot Pie with an Herb-cracker crust,
Peppery Popovers, Southwestern Vegetable Tortilla Bake, and Risotto with
Scallop and Asparagus. Last night I made the Sweet Potato Cakes. Sarita (daughter) and I really liked them but Harold (hubby) didn't.

Carol, Good luck!
Elaine, I like Cooking Light Recipes too. One of my favorite to cook from though is a Weight Watcher one called Take Out Tonight. I also did a review of it awhile back. It's awsome!
