Most of you know I am in college at the ripe old age of 39 and doingextremely well.

I'm proud of me ;)!! 

I say that because sometimes I get these extreme doubts that I can actuallygo back to school and still be a good mom and take care of the house and mywonderful boyfriend and all that jazz....Now my boyfriend's pastor/boss wantsto hire me part time and I wonder can I do it all and maintain my sanity. Most of all I am trying to maintain my quest for inner peace and not stress outso much.  Oh and I also recently stared writing some short stories toenter in contests, so we shall see how they go....

Anyway these are just some random thoughts that I have been having lately.

I'm proud of you, too, Danielle. That's a tough task you've set out for yourself to do. For me, college and a little work was enough for me. I'd be careful about taking on a job. Whew! You must have lots of energy!

You have every right to be proud. There are some that would make all sorts of excuses not to take on these responsibilities. Congratulations to you for knowing what you want and going after it.

You have a right to be proud of yourself. You are actually younger than I was when I went to college. I have an AA in psychology, but did not continue because of family problems, business and a patience that was wearing thin. I would have loved to have finished and had a Bachelor's either in psychology or some other field of mental health.
My husband kept asking me why? I was going to college now? My answer was because I need to and want it.
After we adopted our 3 Russian born children and the oldest became a special needs child, he knew why God laid this on my heart. I didn't tell him, he told me. I really didn't know why I was there, just that I needed to be.
Keep up the good work. If I can go that far, I know you can go a lot farther.

I think most people have those little self dounts about ourselves. The important thing is not to let them rule us. I'm in college at the ripe old age of 51. Don't let those little nagging voices stop you from doing what you know you CAN do.

Interesting to read this, as I went back to school when my kids were young and finally graduated at 45. The last 2 years I took classes (I took 2 or 3 classes a semester for a long time) I worked for my church. I found that it was hard to work, and go to school...but, it also grounded me and made me able to focus more on those last (really hard) senior level classes. I worked half days, and was able to get it all done somehow. I have to admit I was very glad when I was done, but it was worth it! Good luck!

I'm proud of you too! I think it's awesome that you went back to school. It's inspiring to me because I started college when I was 28 and had to drop out this year, but reading about you gives me hope that I can go back and finish.

I think you are doing great! You will never know until you try the added job. It is normal to have some doubts, but if they are biggies, maybe now isn't the time.

You are my hero. I went back to school last year at 35 and I was so stressed out and I don't have kids!

Believe in yourself and ask for help when you need it with the children and house. You'll do great as long as the let the non important things slide, like dusting, cleaning out the ice box..the things that can wait until you have more time.

I am happy for you and happy you are proud of your self. I graduated from seminary when I was nearly 30. The dean said "older" sstudents had more focus. I had two part time jobs but they just seemed a part of my life. I found the part time work a relief from the pressure of school. So I agree with those who write you need to decide what you can handle. Congrats again!

Just keep at it and be proud of yourself!! List accomplishments EVERY day that you do. This will help you stay on track. I know some days you want to throw in the towel, but like the saying goes "nothing good comes easy."
I am your age almost exactly and I know. School is tough but not having money or opportunities is much tougher. My dad used to say "that time is going to pass anyway."

I now have a bachelors, associates and computer certification. (Too bad none of those have anything to do with writing, hey?)

I worked all through school and was in the Army reserves. Got school and service out of the way by the time I was 25 so I could start a family.

Way to go, Danielle!!! We're here with you.
