Hows Everyone doing? Im bored and like my whole life has been work lately and sleeping. Sleep and work and watch stuff on Tv. Im a Big Deal or No Deal fan and also am into Suze Orman lately. Suze Orman is so awesome. She has great ideas and her advice is inspiring me and giving me food for thought.

Suze Orman is on Cnbc and has good investment advice. Ultimately my goal is to retire a millionaire. I have a long time to go till retirement as I am in college and am only 22. Wouldn't mind hitting the lottery or suddenly being given a ton of money though i dont think thats gonna happen soon.

Deal or No deal is fun. I love it!! HAHA! Anyone else a Deal or No Deal lover? They have a game out now.. can you believe that? Saw that when Christmas shopping! My man wanted the game and cried, but tried telling him it prob won't be as good as any TV program of it or what not, so we didn't buy. He sitlls wants it though, but nothing convinced me yet. Anyone got the game? If so, how much is it at Walmart and was it worth the spend? :)

That is messed up!

I thought it did too Michelle C.

If they give me any hassle over e-mail, I'll just call and complain and I'm sure somebody there will take the fees off. I'm good at getting my way when I think something is a company's fault. If it was my fault and I forgot to pay my bill, I wouldn't mind paying the late fee, but not to send a statement is ridiculous.

Capitol One has screwed me over big time. They gave me a little bit of money on a card and now, they're trying to say 500 after late fees. After making a few payments and feeling like my money was wasted (I sent cash and a big stupid regret of mine) and never heard anything , but letters saying late fees. Frustrating!

I had a shell card once and I had like $30 in rewards because I used it when we moved for the u-haul & 2 cars and then when we got to salt lake I couldn't find a shell to use my rewards at (the program was that you got your rewards the next time you filled up at a shell). I e-mailed them and they told me there was nothing they could do. So I called and the customer service guy was a jerk and pretty much told me I was screwed out of $30 in rewards, so I talked to his manager and he said the same thing. I told him to have his manager call me back at a specified time and he called while I was at work. So I called back and talked to another manager and she transferred my rewards to a new card. She was really nice. I think it depends who you talk to. I'd tell your dad to keep calling and complaining until someone helps him.

Melissa, when they do not send a bill, it frustrates me more because it makes me feel like they're once again not doing their job properly and trying to scam people out of money and say , "well, you owe this muhc" and then when u send money, they send a bill saying a diff amount and then u already paid, they got your money and chances of getting any money you went over in return is slim.

Michelle - I've received refunds from credit card companies for overpayment before, you just need to have documentation, like I said before. They can be reasonable if you talk to the right people. Sometimes it takes awhile to find the right person, but when you do they take care of you.

Ben - that's only the housing market. The housing market hasn't really affected much of the rest of the economy according to the experts.

as for Indian and China, most people that have called me from Capitol One are Indians. What foreigners call from Bank of America and other cards? I thought they didn't have foreigners. Dad told me he talked to a white man, who knows though? My dad could maybe not know the difference, half the time, I can tell a very deep accent, even if they sound like they speak good English doesn't mean they understand you.. Half the time they cannot comprehend what you're asking them... ::Sighs::

I also think that even if the housing market is a bust right now, 10 years down the road, prices have to increase because the Democrats raising minimum wage as high as they did is going to cause some massive inflation in the next few years.

Ultimately everything is tied together. Its way harder to get a loan. Car loan or home loan and its been affecting auto makers too. People when they have less spend less and also the dollar is weak lately. Alot of inflation. and one of my coworkers keeps telling me she shoulda stayed in china cause in china the economy is way better

I agree with the interest raising! Damn.. drives me nuts! Does credit cards and hospital credit eliminate you from getting an apartment? What kind of credit do they look for when getting an apartment? I hear its ALL kinds of credit and it frustrates me with a baby on the way, how we will get a place of our own.

I also heard Section8 housing in our county now does a credit check and if you don't have good credit - you do not qualify. Is it getting more and more harder these days or what? I'm so frustrated with the system of life.

I have a condo I rent out. It's always gone up. More the year before last then this year but still it went up by about 8k. It has to be cyclical or buyers could never buy and sellers could never sell. It works out better that way.

I use my little small town bank. Granted when I get paid I have to go 40 miles to find a bank that will cash my check but I travel between my apartment and home a lot anyways. I've got a mac card I never use that doubles as a credit card, I also never use.

I got a car loan on my own too. They look for debt to income ratio, credit card payment history, income, how long you've had credit etc.

Ben - West Jordan, UT and Las Cruces, NM

I regularily check the values for properties in the area that are for sale & have sold and so far my Las Cruces property has appreciated $40,000 the past 3 years (and is still rising) & our recent purchase has gone up about $5,000 in the 6 months we have owned it

Ben - that is true, most of those people should have never been able to get a loan anyways.

Use Ben, you are correct that they are getting stricter on who they give there money too but it isn't a problem if you have good credit.
