Gracious Good Morning on this lovely first Saturday in January.  I'm hoping that when folks read the above title, they'll be inspired to write about an experience, a song, a person, a movie or a book about Louisiana.  Perhaps, you took a trip to New Orleans years ago, maybe a swamp tour or maybe you just love Tabasco!  Perhaps, you're a fan of Aaron Neville, Irma Thomas, Harry Connick, Jr. or any of our many Blues and Jazz musicians. 

I live down on Bayou Teche six months of the year and of course, I'm always missing it.  However, inside of me, my Luziana happily resides.  I would love to hear from you. Please join our group and then post an article or image about Louisiana.  Even if you haven't gone down there, perhaps someday you will.  What would you like to see and do?  Thank you for reading this.  Salud.

This looks like it's going to be a neat group. I'll join though I have nothing to contribute as I have never been to your fair state. I am however a fan of the recipes from the bayou.

I loved New Orleans when I visited 24 years ago. Such a beautiful city. And the restaurants!!! And the food!!! It was the trip of a lifetime. We stayed at the Royal Orleans, which was lovely, and literally ate our way through the city.

That wasn't me with the bicycle. That was my sister. It must have been spring, because I remember her getting that for her birthday, in April. We all had old bicycles. But we did love them. And I did/do have slim legs...but I am the one smack in the middle of the picture. You see, I am the youngest girl...three older sisters, two younger brothers.
You inspire me to revisit these things.

Hey girl - we had old bicycles as well - believe me...but I do remember getting a new bike and now wonder where it is...that was back in 1962 I think...white fenders - oh we were country bumkins like the rest of the crowd back then - great living - lots of freedom - Ok going to look at picture again - sorry for the mistake! Hey! Lois was showing off the best legs...and bicycle..in that picture! What is funny, is that because you thought that it was my bike, I remembered being jealous. That sister has been the best! She is the one who helped my mom sort through everything..and helped her find the retirement apartment.

I am trying to scan all my old pictures...some of them have been discolored by the acid in the wood pulp in the paper they were stored next to.
Miz Mariana, I used to live in Henderson, right outside of Breaux Bridge! I love my Mud Bug Festivals! "Luziana" is a world all unto itself and I just love it!

By the way, I've forwarded the question you asked on my Live Chat page in reference to your holding live chats to discuss your own books, to gather. I'm anxiously awaiting their reply and will get with you just as soon as I have an answer for you!

I have never been (would love to) but I have joined the group because I know that anything you are involved in has to be GREAT, FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL, INTERESTING, ENTERTAINING, EXCITEMENT and just plain down right FUN!!! :)

My much loved and late brother Mark toured in Louisiana way back when (late 70s.) He was a brilliant jazz piano man and loved New Orleans ...the people, the music, the style! It became part of his spirit!
