I love living in Richmond, VA! My husband was born and raised here and knows so much about this area, he's been a great tour guide for me and any family members who have visited over the years.

When we were first married we had ZERO money and most of our outings involved touring many of the Civil War battlefields and other historic sites (free/cheap).

I love the museums in Richmond, and all the history that fills the city! However, I HATE HATE HATE driving in Richmond, too many one way streets.... but I LOVE THE MONUMENTS!! I used to work for VCU in an office on Franklin Street and it was wonderful to be surrounded by so much history
