One of my friends posted this on MySpace, and I wanted to pass it along.  Please take the time to watch it!  It's about 20 minutes, but very informative and entertaining.

My husband loves stuff, and I'm one of those people who likes to reduce, reuse, and recycle, so we occasionally clash over this. 

What are your feelings on stuff?

I hate to throw anything out. It's really bad and I have to force myself to weed out the "stuff", some stuff is just to nice to just throw out. I want to have a yard sale someday. Everything has a memory attatched to it, that what makes it so hard, I think.

I go through periods where I feel the need to de-clutter, and then I go again and start amassing lots of stuff!

After my divorce, I tossed almost all the junk I could find. I had dumpster after dumpster of stuff that I just had to get rid of. I'm downsizing again--only keeping what is most important. I'm planning a move to Alaska and the less stuff to drag along, the better.

My SO is a pack rat, while I purge, purge, purge.
I throw everything out-my mom actually bought me a filing cabinet to put tops of bills in and I have never needed them after I pay a bill but I put them in there in case she checks!!

We love stuff but we got rid of alot on our last move from California back to Florida. After that move I promised we would never had that much stuff again. Now, we are just flooded with my son's toys but that is expected. We are careful about what we buy and collect alot more than in the past now too. We also went to my mother in law's for Thanksgiving and saw just how much of a pack rat she became. I had to spend two nights there and I never will again! I have kept the photos I took on my computer as reminder for both my husband and I of what we never want to become!

I'm a stuff kinda person, my husband would love to get a dumpster and clean house. I don't stray far from home for a long period of time. LOL

Stuff is stuff that I can recycle, reuse and reduce.

i'm in favor of having/keeping stuff because i can recycle it. once i have it, i don't want it to go to the landfill until it's truly outlived its usefulness. the only problem facing these couples (where one wants to get rid of everything that the other accumulates) is being organized enough to have STUFF but not CLUTTER. not that it's easy, but it would make everyone happy IMHO. : )

I am half pack rat half get rid of it. Twice a year I get in a cleansing the home mood and the stuff I get rid of then.......

We already have so much stuff, but hubby seems to always want something new...he's big into "toys" like RC helicopters,, etc.
I like to keep everything we have until we've gotten as much use out of it as possible. I keep old calendars so the pictures can one day be used in art projects, I try to find people to pass all of my magazines on to, etc.
I'm also a huge fan of buying things at the thrift store or yard sales.
I hope that as my daughter gets older we can keep toys to a minimum. I want her to have plenty of art supplies and a few toys, but that's it. I know my parents understand that (they never buy anything), but it will be interesting to see what my husband's parents do!

I'm not much of a "stuff" person. I don't buy it unless I'm certain I'm going to use it. And if I stop using it, I get rid of it. I usually give it to someone whom I think will get enjoyment out of it.
