Me personally, I think that Obama and Hillary are the best canidates. But im a democrat. And living in a poor, urban, diseased and hungry city, it seems like the only changes that were made by bush were bad ones. I really felt like he made the rich richer and the poor even poorer. Sorry to all the Bush supporters, I do not mean in anyway to offend anyone, but this is politics. Bush was a bad president in my opinion. He shouldnt even be president, because like most ANTI-bush supporters, I believe the election was rigged both times.
Which is part of why i believe that even if Hillary or Obama DO rightfully win, the government will come up with some sorry lame excuse and recount and a white man will eventually win.
Im ready for a change. In my opinion, this country cant get any worse. I think Bill was the best president we ever had (since ive been alive) and god forbid the man gets some fallacio in the oval office. What man wouldnt? And Hillary, she has been putting her work in. I trust that she will look out for those who have long since been forgotton since Bush took leadership.
I remember once, in high school, we were learning politics. And my teacher said, all Presidents are a wasp. Do we know what a wasp is?
White AngloSaxin Protestant (I cant spell sorry)
JFK changed that, he was catholic right?
We discussed having a black or woman president, and he looked at us and laughed, said it would never happen.
So am I wrong to be worried that the world wont allow it? That even though so much has changed, that even in 2008 the government will not allow it?
Whats your opinion?

Not ONCE did the color of Barrack Obamas skin come into conversation. Iowa showed just how colorblind they were last night. And once again I am darn proud to be an Iowan.
Hillary needs to lose the gender card and become a real candidate or drop out.
You read it here, Gater-ites.
George W. Bush a.k.a Satan, The Devil, Lucifer, The Anti-Christ, Old Scratch,
I hope so too, but it always has been.
"Bush lied...Bush lied...Bush lied...Bush lied...Bush lied...Bush lied...Bush lied...Bush lied.."
"I hope so too, but it always has been."
Really? Which election was this?
That vote will be a vote against every rotten husband, cheating spouse, boyfriend, lover, abuser, it will be a vote for EMPOWERMENT!!
I AM WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am thankful for the freedom we enjoy. Some people just don't realize how good we have it; how fortunate we are.
College campuses are saying this is a new generation and we need to change the face of American politics. Martin Luther King, er... I mean Obama is their choice for the dream of their future.
And Sue, I told Hubby yesterday, if anyone was ever a candidate for assasination, it was Bush. Colin Powell wouldn't take the challenge when he had the opportunity, and I believe he thought long and hard about the assasination issue. So, I like Obama's strength of character. His speech reminded me of MLK, and I think the college students are hungry for this change. If he doesn't make it this go round, he will be back, he's young, but I don't think the youth of this country (18-30) care as much about experience as they do change in America. I also think this change would be good for the world at large.
The college students hungry for change? The college students have been rumored to be the big "difference makers" in Presidential politics for as far back as I can remember (I'm 47). Back in 1980 when Reagan ran against Carter, the college students were going to come out in waves for John Anderson and we were going to have our first Independent candidate because there was "no way," conventional wisdom said, that a "warmonger" like Reagan was going to be elected President.
Since then, there's been Nader, Howard Dean, the big "Rock the Vote" deal of a couple of years ago...yet the youth did not come out to vote! What happened?
Now its going to be Obama who is going to be swept in by waves of glory! The college students "hungry for change" (man has this phrase been well-worn over the years), are going to put him in office.
What "change" is Obama going to bring?
Does it not sound just a little silly to put your "dreams of the future" in a human being?
Barack Obama is a 46 year old man who is just 2 short years out of the Illinois legislature. No one knows if he is up for the task of being POTUS because he has never done anything remotely comparable, such as be a governor of a state or at least been a Senator for any length of time.
You can "poo-poo" experience all you want. However, just as a corporation would never hire an inexperienced novice to run their firm, neither should the American people trust the security and welfare of their nation to someone who has never proven himself, has never been tried, and has no record on which to be judged.
Hey Rosa, where have you been? I also think Colin Powell turned it down partly for that reason too.
HMMM . . .
HMMM . . . "
lol thats hilarious.
I love all the responses so far..
As I said before, it doesnt matter to me who wins, as long as they are going to change bush's mistakes.
Im ready for a change.
But people made some very good points. I always do extensive research on the candidates im vying for, in this case, hil and obama. So whoever of the two speaks to me more.. thats who is getting my vote.
My problem is, will my vote count? I seriously believe that even if the voters choose obama or hil I will put my life on it that the next day something happens, it gets recounted, and an old white man will win.
Love the assasination theories.. hadnt thought about that ;)
I hope I'm wrong. I like Barack and John best, tho...
