It was quite humorous actually. Neither Jennifer nor I gave the other any very specific ideas for Christmas. We both ended up buying each other music related gifts for our big gifts. Jen bought me a Philips wall-mount CD/stereo system. She nailed it right on the money. I've wanted one for a long time. I bought Jen a Sony Walkman Media Player (MP3, pictures and videos).
The freebie story starts here. We decided to try out Napster-To-Go as our music download service. Upon investigation into the features, price, and options, there was an offer for a free MP3 player with a one-year service commitment. I've wanted to buy an MP3 player for myself, but couldn't bring myself to spend the money on myself. What a deal! I paid only $10 for shipping and handling, and 6 days later I have an MP3 player. It is a very basic player. No 256 color display or picture capability, but it does offer 1 GB of storage, and the music quality is good. I'm tickled. I rarely get anything of any quality for free. I just couldn't help but share the story. Thanks for listening to my ramblings.
