Starbursts
Spark from wave crests
To charm a loving pair
Who clasp hands at the liner's rail
And regale as her ring becomes as one
With nature's dancing nighttime heart
And glimpse their dazzling life

Starburst candies can give you the same jolt!
Great, Virginia. Thank you.
Thank you, Fran.
Thank you, Linda.
My pleasure, Elizabeth. I hope you enjoy it.
Salud.
We will try to fill the petal bowl daily at Rictameter, Mariana, so that you may delight in the ever-changing arrays of color. Thank you for the compliment.
Thank you, Larry.
I might try rictameter, one day...LOL...but it bears some thought.
When I first started writing haiku, I had to really think and count -
then it came easily. Is it the same with rictameter I wonder?
Diamonds
And women gleam
When ensembled for night
And reflected by candlelight
Across a table contracted by eyes
That sparkle behind golden flames
With the murmur of love
That passes through
Diamonds
Originally published as Romantic Trappings, in 2006. Regardless, as with your haiku, Maggie, HAVE FUN with it.
