Looks like the winner for the first caucus is Huckabee and Obama. I for one am hoping this is not a trend for the rest of the country. Obama is way to inexperienced to run the country and Huckabee is just a snake.
Good thing Iowa is a small state. The only good news out of Iowa was that Guliani was dead last.

As far as Iowa, you are first in the nation for a caucus, this does not make the state a political brain bank.
I don't much care for Huckabee. Rudy, Romney or McCain work for me. Let's hope this is a short trend.
Right on Lori! & Don why dont you look into things more?
Obama is for change and I think he is the right man.
Bill Clinton was not my favorite but at least he built respect in the world. Bush has killed all that. We need a man or woman running the country that can bring that back. I do not think boyish charm will get Obama far. With inexperience comes relying too much on others as was the case with Bush.
Iowa is an important starting point and, greatfully, many in that state take their role seriously. It takes 50 states to make the country, however, and with several more primaries/caucases coming up in short order, I am not convinced we have our predictions.
Misty, I am more surprised that anyone voted for him. Of course I am still trying to figure out who voted for Bush. I have met very few people who admit to it!
It's a long time before
the primaries, and
anything can happen
at this point.
I think it's encouraging
that a Presidential candidate
can't just raise the most
money and be expected
to win.
Shame Chris Dodd
had to drop out.
I predict Kucinich
will follow suit
in a little while.
Just wanted to bookmark this one for next year's archive of 2008's most ridiculous.
I was all for Guiliani when he started his run but I think he's compromised too many of his position and even flip-flopped on a number of them. He's trying to appeal to the conservative side of the party and I think that's a mistake; I big mistake. What a dolt!
You've just indicated that Abraham Lincoln was not qualified to be president. His record and Obama's are identical.
I am still hoping for an Edwards candidacy but, barring that, Obama is OK by me! We've got to have change and you're not going to get it on the Republican side. McCain would be OK except for his hard stance on Iraq.
