What do you use to edit/tweak your videos??

Okay, so I have this great video camera, but it the software is really lacking. What do you use?? I would like to be able to add sound and maybe titles. and am looking for something that is either free or free to try for a bit. There are so many on Download.com that I thought that I would ask the experts!

Did your camera come with any software? They usually do.

I am currently using the Windows Movie Maker that comes with XP. I need to grab the sony editing software soon.

I agree with others, the Windows Movie Maker that comes pre-installed on computers does a pretty good job!

I don't have a camcorder or digital camcorder. I can only take 20 second video clips through my camera phone and I generally don't bother with any editing. You might want to check out this article, however, for a listing of free video software applications available for the moste popular OS platforms out there (Windows, OS/X, Linux).

what format does your camera create videos in? if its a .mov file then the windows movie maker is useless unless you have something to convert the video to another format to do that i have to use hps muvee (comes free with some compaq and hp computers)maker or you can use quick time pro(not free) then take it into windows movie maker

I use the Windows Movie Maker also. Seems to do a good job!

I am checking out Muvee now and it seems like it should do what I need. Thanks!
I have a program but its not on the pc.
I think it has a clip feature. I use it to convert videos.

I don't mess with video much. I used to copy movies and that was about it. I had a program that would do everything, but I don't know if I could find it now.
