Work Day after a Holiday

Mondays are bad. But the day after a holiday seems to be incredibly worse. Even though everyone had the same days off, there's always so much to catch up on.

There has been only one exception to this rule that I've discovered to far -- the day after Christmas. I worked that day. So many people took the day off that the office was like a ghost town. Actually, the whole week was pretty laid back.

I'm hoping for a laid back week this week, since it's so short. But I think the opposite will happen. After two holidays in a row, there's much to get done...and the week is short. So chaos will settle like snow on a dog's back. ;-) Ok, so I'm not very poetic at 7-damn-o'clock in the morning!

I seriously considered taking another day off...but that would only delay the inevitable. ;-) I just need to start planning vacation days!

I don't work but I used to hate the first day back after a holiday. When I was teaching, the kids were sooooooooo slow to get back to work after a holiday. I hated that.

Yes - bah to the day after a holiday - the main problem is that we tend to treat ourselves and those around us on holidays, but then it's back to reality

I work every monday even if they are holidays .... so i don't even know what it's like to have the chance to believe a monday could be anything else.

I don't work anymore, but I do remember that I dreaded going back to work after a holiday. It seemed to take about 3 days to get back into the swing of things and then it was almost the weekend!

Holidays are so filled with fun it seems a crime to have to go to work the next day, you are usually so worn out from all the activity.
