I love this poem in all its upbeat positive intonation... indeed the gilded lily can be kissed and beyond the yellow brick road, although frought with lions and tin soldiers, there are golden rainbows and shining diamond slippers. Congrats, and all the happiness in the world. You're not in Kansas anymore!

This is a cause for celebration. I sincerely wish you and your future spouse peace and happiness.
I don't want to try to understand or read too much into your poem, but I felt the first stanza a bit of a cynical look at the past and the second stanza that of warmth and hope as you describe your own beauty. The second stanza reminds me of parts of the Songs of Solomon without the erotic language.
