I Am So Excited To See My Family!!!!!

Tomorrow we are going on a road trip!!! I am so excited because I will get to see my family & show off how cute my kids are! ;o)

I haven't seen my sister for a long time (she lives about 4 hours away) & so we are going to her in-laws tomorrow to enjoy their family tradition on New Years...steak, crab legs, chicken...the works!! mmmmmm I am sure there will be games played & it will just be a lot of fun!

The next day we are going to visit my brother & he is blessing his baby (something we do in my religion when the baby is born the worthy member father of the child gives it a name & a blessing). I am really excited for this time, because I will get to see my parents, 2 out of 3 brothers, and my sister! I miss my family so much! It is always a lot of fun to visit.

Then we will be staying with friends there & touring the place visiting friends haha. I haven't had a vacation since last January! It is so much needed! I am the kind of person that has to get out of town! I hate that gas prices have gone up so much that we are grounded to the city we live in. I LOVE to travel...so this year has been hard on me (we can't afford to go anywhere...).

My parents are planning on moving to Florida & so I don't know when I will see them next! I need to make this trip count!

My highlight will be showing off my cute kids! I don't know why that is, but it just makes me happy to have people dote on them haha ;o)

I also want to get a couple more hundred points just to say I did 3000 points in a month! haha ;o) Happy New Year Yall & I will be back Friday! Wooooo hooooo!

aw.. bird i'm so excited for you. i'm glad you are getting to see your family.. cause i know how much you've missed them. make sure to take lots of pictures.. &to come home with even more stories! haha.. have a safe trip!

I am excited for you! It would be so hard to be far away from family! My parents and sister only live 30mins away and it is hard to see them all the time! Have a great New Year!

Awesome, Birdee!!! I hope you enjoy yourself and your family. I know what it's like to never get to see your family, so I know how excited you must be. I know how fun it is to show off your kids too. I hope you have a great trip.

My father still remembers the day that he blessed me in church. He has never forgotten the prayer till this day.

I hope that the baby behaves long enough for your brother to bless it. I have been to church many times when the baby was being blessed and lets just say that their vocal cords were working overtime.

I really understand about not being able to see your family because of gas prices. We only get to the Phoenix area about once a year to see my in-laws or to go get my grandson in Globe to take him over to Phoenix to show him off. Yes, I can also understand showing off your cute little ones. I only have one grandson, but think he's is as cute as anyone can be, and I'm happy to take him to see his great grand-ma and his aunts and uncles. They'll have a fit, though, when they find out that some of us have converted to the LDS Church.
