As many of you might know, we went to West Virginia for Christmas. We were really hoping for snow (well, I was anyway), but alas it was not meant to be.
So, what DO you do when there's no snow? When you can't make snow angels or build snowmen? When you can't go sleigh-riding or throw snowballs?
Why, you decorate Nana's and Grandpa's little outside trees of course!

You find every stick, rock, twig, whatever available in the immediate area and you pile it up on that tree.

You stick things anywhere in the tree you want.

High and low. Just anywhere you think it might fit and look odd......er, uh........nice.

In the end you'll have your completed work of snowless art - the decorated outdoor pine.

Lovely, huh? LOL

The pictures are adorable!!!!!!!! Looks fun either way!
Thanks for you comments on my collection - I have no idea what the value would be. 10 t0 30 dollars each times how ever many I have - not a fortune but a sizable sum.

LOL Barbara If you say so! LOL ; ) I owe you loads of comments, I know. Will try to get to it today.
Thanks for stopping by Ellie. Happy New Year to you too!
No doubt, Cheryl.
Meg: For some reason they want to decorate that particular tree each and every time we go up there! LOL
Thanks, Toni!
Thank ya kindly, Chuck!
Yes, sometimes that ability to entertain themselves is a total blessing for me, Nancy! ; )
Yeah, they didn't seem to care too much this year, Melissa. Last year Haley cried! This year I practically wanted to cry. LOL
I would totally take some of your snow, Melanie!
Well, you guys just come on over to WV, Shannon. We'll meet you there and all the kids can decorate trees until their hearts' content.
Good point, Teresa. Didn't think of that burning the energy off. Maybe I'll have them decorate some of my trees. LOL
Happy New Year to you too, Bonnie!
Yes, you know how much I was wanting snow, Marilyn. I showed your collection to my husband. He was impressed.
Too bad, Sophie. A white Christmas rocks!!
I hope so, Pam. I think that's important.
Thanks Karolyn! I owe you so many comments right now. I'm trying hard to catch up. I'll be by soon, hopefully today!
Actually now that I think about it, Marianne, I'm not sure if she noticed. She was inside while we were outside with the kids. They decorate that tree every time we go up there. Not sure what it is about just that one.
I hope your 2008 is filled with blessings, good health and much happiness.
Just wanted to stop by and wish you and your family and very Happy New Year.

Thanks G.M.!
Give'em time, Mom, give'em time (and I'm sure they will)! LOL
Thanks Nana.
Thanks for stopping by, Susy. I'm just glad they weren't too disappointed that they didn't get any snow.
I just hope they never lose that imagination and creativity, JoAnne.
Hi Jodie. I'm not sure if Mom and Dad ever really noticed it this time. Mom was in the house. Dad was out there but was busy filling up all his bird feeders. They did enjoy themselves up there. It was nice to be back home for a while. Josie did perfectly. She slept nearly all the way. She's the best dog.
Lynn: Hmmmmm. I wonder how much one of those snow machines would cost? Dude, if it wasn't probably extremely expensive I would so buy one!! LOL Don't be scared if one day we show up at your front door wanting to play in your yard! LOL
Thanks Fran!
very lovely... your kids are sooo cute...
