I know what you mean. I grew up in a home filled with old books. Everytime I opened one I felt the secrets from the past were being revealed to me.
Happy New Year to you and your famly. I wish you lots of warmth.

I am sorry you lost your mom.
Now you have to join Shelfari so I can see these titles you read and cherish!
I want to say that what struck me the final stanza is comprised of verbs modified by the adverbs....giving it motion as it draws down...
very nice...
So sorry to hear your news, and wishing you well.
I'm sorry to hear about your mother. I hope that being with your family brings you some comfort. I have thought of you often and said some prayers for you. Be gentle with yourself. This is a tough time you are going through. If I can do anything, please let me know.
May I add my sympathies and condolences to the others.
