Most people make resolutions to lose weight or to get fit. Maybe they make a resolution about saving more money or finding a better job. My Resolution is somewhat different. I make a resolution to lose.
1. To lose myself in each day. I want to savor every moment. Time passes so quickly, and I spend too much of it just living. I want to enjoy every minute I'm given even if it's not exactly like I thought it was going to be.
2. To lose myself to my husband. I want to be more willing to say I'm sorry more quickly. I want to put myself aside and focus more on him. I want to make sure that I am doing what I can to help him and to keep our marriage alive.
3. To lose my worries and cares. I spend a lot of time just worrying about things that I can't control. What good is that? It doesn't do any good. This ties back into number 1 because I'm wasting time worrying that I could be spending savoring every moment.
To me, these are the most important resolutions. I want to keep these resolutions. These are things that can help me for years to come. This year I want to do something different. This year, I want to lose.

I want to find - find out who I really am; find old friends and stay in touch; find ways to clear out my apartment with minimum stress; find ways to have fun without spending too much money.
