Who Do You Pick For The Gatherer of The Year?

Time just recently announced their pick for man of the year. Their criteria is based on impact. Positive or negative is irrelevant to the choice. The person who made the most impact on the world.

I think it would be interesting if Gather ran a contest to see who would be voted The Gatherer of the year with everyone voting once for their choice.

Who would you choose and why?

It would be hard to choose, I have at least 5 people in mind that would be perfect for Gatherer of the Year!!

Elsie Duggan is the Queen of Gather...she's everyone grammy, mom, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, sweetheart...all rolled into one who everybody loves. Such a nice, old gal...and a hoot to boot! It's Elsie...hands down***

For me, it would be hard to choose too. I can think of at least 6. (Elsie is certainly one of those.)

What a challenge.! So many,I couldn't possibly choose but believing in the power of prayer as I do Heather, the way you have kept prayer going for us EVERYDAY, is truly a blessing to me and it must be recognized and admired so if I may say, I've gathered many friends and great poets but You, Heather Campbell,has bought daily prayers and God's Love throughout Gather so my hat goes off to you as Gatherer of the year. God Bless!

There are way too many to choose from and all in different ways. It would have to be cut into many categories.

I agree it is a hard choice to pick on person. I pick everyone who where mentioned and who commented, (smile) and I would like to say I appreciate and thank everyone who commented. Let's give a cheer for all those who touch us with their work and who make a difference on Gather! Hip Hip Hooray!

Thank you all who mentioned me, I think everyone on Gather is equally as important as the next, could I pick one, no, because we all have our own style, our own reasons for being here, our own talents and I appreciate all my friends on Gather, everyone here has been great to me, and thank you Heather.

I could never narrow it down to one either. Maybe into categories with a top three in each, but never just one person. Thanks to all my connections, I have had a wonderful time here on Gather this year. A special thanks to you Heather for leading us in prayer each day and remembering the ones who need special prayers.

There are many people here on Gather who have contributed in a positive way. I would not want to consider giving recognition to the negative. Sure don't want to feed that!

I agree it would be interesting to have specific catagories.

Ernie, has brought out much through his contests
Elsie, well she's definately on my list
Marge is a joy with her stories
Bhawanda with her poignant writing

I know I'm missing many obvious people but the above list is just the beginning.

Boy, that indeed would be a toughie. If it were for real I would probably bow out for reasons of not being here long enough, not knowing enough of the folks and just plain not being worthy! If I had too, yups, undoubtably Elsie D. would be on the top of the list, her wisdom incomparable, then for her all round sweetness and thoughtfulness Margaret C. got to go on the list as well, then there have been reasons to indicate the quality of persons they are and the wisdom they have such that Elizabeth M. and Sue D. would also have to be on that list, and the a very talented and spiritual man just becoming known to me, Ronald B., and for being a true friend and always thinking of me I have to mention "cajun" Debby! and then, well, you get the idea, we would be here all night!

I really don't think I could make a choice of just one Gather member either.
There are so many I read and draw my inspirations from...
just about every GatherGuide....
anyone who has ever written anything: articles, prose etc....
the brave people that post photos of themselves and their lives....
all the great game makers and players.............
all the spiritually gifted people that make my faith stronger.........

see, there is just no way I cold ever narrow such a list down to one person...
