Her Majesty's charm and grace
Have put on their winter airs
As all the hands
That reach out to Her
Are decked in white. Her day-crown of gold
glows more now
As does her silver one of night
And all below do
Lift up praise
At Her beautiful, wonderous sight.

Thanks for reading it.
The first time I read it; I thought this describes what should have been Princess Di's destiny instead of the twisted fate that befell her.
You should do another and call it "COLD" and maybe people would see Charles in that one. LOL
Really great poem Roxy, thanks!!!
A beautiful metaphor. The poem draws us in and we can easily visualize the scene. Very nicely done.
Please post more and never hesitate to remind me to check your page and read your work.
I guess I come here to be noticed...this definately helped :)
I can't "put out" the way some people do, and I'm not a disciplined writer. I just go with the feelings. I'm not, nor ever been, that kind of attraction...I can't just spew out words to make others happy--I try to tell them what I want to say, and hope it doesn't offend them. Sometimes, I don't know what to say at all...so, that's why I don't "Gather" like I first did. It's not me.
Thanks for the comments, every one of them. I do appreciate seeing how others "see" what I write.
