This is a ranting & whine alert! I just need to vent! Prayers would be appreciated as well! The last few months things have building up on me and I'm getting to my breaking point. My first attempt to write this article was shot down by a computer error too. GRRRR!
I'll start off chronologically so there's some background on everything. Over the summer I started having pain in my wrist and my back/hip. I finally went to the doctor in August about it. The doctor blew off my back pain as a pulled muscle. While waiting for test results about my wrist to see if it is carpal tunnel (this all happened in the course of one week), I broke a tooth which needed a crown, broke my glasses then on the same morning my husband was mowing the lawn, ran over an underground bee's nest that he didn't know was there and started getting stung. In the process of swiping at the bees, he lost his wedding band. We've never been abel to find it and we've been all over the yard with a metal detector. We think it flew out into the street and maybe down the sewer drain.
First week of September, I finally get my test results back about my wrist. Not carpal tunnel, but decided that it's tendonitis. I'm immediately put off work because it's my right wrist and I wasn't allowed to use it at all. Meanwhile my back is still bothering me so I went to the chiropractor. It was waaaay out of place. So, it was kind of a blessing that I was off work with my wrist because I had to stay on my back. I wasn't allowed to sit up at all until my back went back into place. I finally went back to work on November 1st. I'm still on light duty and my wrist still hurts. When I was finally able to sit up though, that's when I finally figured gather out while I was off and you all kept me company during the day!
Skip to December. I break another tooth the week before Christmas. This time he will at least be able to patch it for which I am very grateful. The crown is still sitting on our credit card and we haven't been able to pay much on it. Being off work for so long really threw us for a loop financially. Christmas Day was wonderful. We got together with family and for that we are blessed that everyone was able to be together.
The day after Christmas is a different story. It was hubby's bday. He was having a really bad day. His mom passed away last year on his birthday so he was having a lot of difficulty dealing with that. We work together with a half hour difference in shifts, so when he punched out for the day, he went online to pay our dish bill while he was waiting for me. Debit card declined. We should have had plenty of money to cover the bill, so he couldn't figure out why. He checked the bank statement online and we were negative $1015.00!! His debit number was stolen and someone had a whole lot of fun buying up a storm online. He called the bank immediately and cancelled the card. They told him that they couldn't do anything until all of the charges posted and everything was out of the pending column. That evening we went to my father in law's for dinner. He wanted to try and make the day special for hubby, so had another family gathering.
Yesterday it seemed as though everything was finally finished posting, the pending column was blank so we went to the bank and filled out all the paperwork to try and get everything reversed. We were told it could take at least a week. Meanwhile we have no money. At least we'd already bought groceries for the week. We deposited enough money to make our car payment since it's auto deduted from this acct. When we got home last night, there's a problem with our kitty's ear, which I posted an article about last night. We have to take him to the vet this week but have no money to do so because of the stolen debit card numbers.
Hubby checked the bank acct this morning and the other stuff that had supposedly dropped out of the system finally showed up and bang! The acct is negative again. At least the car payment did come out of that though so we won't be late for that. Off to the bank again! The young man there helped hubby out as much as possible and reversed the overdraft fees but couldn't do anything about the fraudulant charges.
Now I'm sick with my second cold of the season and couldn't sleep all night. The lady at the vet's office this morning was very rude and sarcastic to me on the phone because we haven't had the cats there since 2003. I'm at my breaking point and finally broke and started crying.
On the plus side, I keep thinking that we both have full time jobs. They don't pay much, but we're fortunate to have work. We're in relatively good health. We have very supportive family and friends. We have a roof over our heads (as long as we get our money back and can pay our property tax soon!)
So now I'm trying to gather up a storm today so I can get enough points to cash in for the $50 gift card (haven't been able to finish Christmas gifts yet) and I'm trying to check out all my rewards programs to see what I can cash in for that will help us out in the next month or so.
Thanks everyone for listening! I needed so badly to get everything off my chest!
