Moving to SC Journal

December 7, 2007

Friday, the second day of travel for us. We left around 10am and drove until 5pm. It went pretty quickly and wasn't too bad. We made a couple of stops, one of them was at the Welcome Center in North Carolina. I took some photos there. DH got a map. It was good to stretch our legs.

I'm now in Lumbertown, NC at a Days Inn. Not as nice as the place we stayed last night, but they allow pets so that's a good thing. Tomorrow we will reach our destination, God willing. We saw some really bad accidents on 95 South today. So sad. I've never seen so many tractor trailers on the road and one of the accidents involved a tractor trailer flipped over on it's side. I heard there was bad, freezing rain over night. We feel fortunate that our trip has been safe so far.

I moved more times than a moving van as we grew up as adults. I never kept a journal. I think with your photos and your journal you have the right idea. Good Job.

I am enjoying this posts Nana.....so neat to see them all in a row! I think you should look into having them put into a book form so you and DH have them to look back on when all is settled in your new home! I think it would be neat!
