This is an update on my article from yesterday:
I went to the hospital today to follow-up with tests they wanted to do because I had decreased fetal movements and extra amniotic fluid at my last check up and ultrasound. They did a NST( non stress test) to monitor the babys heartrate , movements, and my contractions. They said it looked okay, but the baby was not as active as they would like and her heart rate didnt get as high as they wanted for this test. They also said I was having contractions every 8 to 12 minutes, but not consistant enough or strong enough to worry about yet. I could feel the contraction causing tightening in my stomach, but it wasnt painful. Because they didnt like this result, even though it wasnt really bad, they did an ultrasound test to ensure all was fine and the baby was okay. They said in the ultrasound she looked fine and was moving plenty. They also did an AFI (amniotic fluid index ) test(done by ultrasound) to measure the amount of fluid I was carrying. They said it had decreased since the other day when I was there so not to worry. I do have to go back every week until my due date (january 15th) and have these tests repeated to make sure there is no problem until I have her. They said I also need to ensure I dont go more then 6 hours without feeling her move or I need to call my doctor and return to the hospital because this may be a sign of a problem, and they want to be extra cautious! Better safe then sorry! I am thankful all is okay for now and the baby and I are fine! Thanks to everyone who is keeping me in there thoughts and prayers ! Now we just need to wait for her to come!
