Busy Night Ahead..

My husband and I have a busy night ahead. My brother and I take turns staying with my father who has Alzheimers. He and my sister-in-law really needed a night out. So, tonight we have dad and my brother's little girl. We are going to try and go have some dinner at the local pizza place before returning home to watch a movie and relax. Well, relax as much as you can with a 4 year old and my poor dad that is so confused he gets anxious.

We shall do our best as we will need a night off soon as well and what comes around goes around....so, wish us luck !! I hope whatever your Friday night plans are, you enjoy them or at least get through them too....

Maybe watch an old time movie to keep dad's mind occupied...give him some memories to recollect...and help keep his anxiousness at a low level. That would be calming for everyone involved.

Give your dad a hug from us, he sounds like such a great guy:) I am sure that he will be feeling a tad guilty for not being at home with your mom, he shouldn't, but I hope that the time away will recharge his batteries a bit.
