Thanks to Gather, I have the opportunity to review The Ultimate Tea Diet by Mark "Dr. Tea" Ukra. I'm about 2/3rds through the book and find it truly fascinating. (I'll have a full book review for you soon!)
This is the freshest approach I've read about lately to health, wellness, and weight loss. I'm inspired to take the Tea Diet Challenge detailed in the guide.... and best of all, you get to join me. :) Over the next month I'll journal about what works for me, what didn't, other insights, and hopefully, positive results, too.
The diet, of course, requires a lot of tea drinking, so I've already started exploring the options out there and ordering/purchasing some teas to begin with. The first thing that startled me (and the book mentions this) is how many "teas" out there don't have tea in them.
The second thing that I found is this could turn into an expensive journey if I let it. Now, you all know what a frugal gal I am, so I've already begun my quest for coupons and bargains to keep me "in tea" without busting my bank.
As luck would have it, this happens to be the clearance-palooza time of year and what did I find on my visits to the shopping centers? Why, ½ price holiday teas in a wide variety of flavors and options from loose teas with cute little Christmas Tree steepers to yummy vanilla flavored teas in nylon baggies.
So, my journey begins on a rather happy money-saving health-improving note with a wide variety of teas I'm dying to sample.
And as Dr. Tea advises, I'm not about to wait-- sipping on a wonderful glass of black tea with a touch of orange and lemon right now... ahhhhhhhhhhhhh... I think I'm going to like this...
