2008 will be a year of many changes for us, all of them good! We have a beautiful baby girl who we will get to watch grow. I will be staying at home with her, since we decided that we could give her better building blocks than anyone else could. I'm sure I'll get a part-time job at some point so our finances won't be so tight, but I have the ability to take my time and find something that I really enjoy doing. I feel like I sold a little of my soul at my past job, so I've got to do a little self-searching to discover what I'm passionate about again.
For the first time I won't be the major bread-winner in our family. I am actually looking forward to this power shift, since I think it will give my husband a much-needed feeling of importance. I adore my husband and see everything that he does for our family, but sometimes he has a hard time seeing it. I also think that it will be a great relief for me to have the time to do everyday tasks around the house. My old job was extremely time consuming, so things would pile up and become overwhelming tasks for both of us.
Since I've been home, I've been able to keep things like dishes and the laundry under control, reducing our stress greatly.
We're also looking forward to having the opportunity to take some long weekend trips and things of that sort. We'll have to stick to inexpensive things such as camping and other things we can do on the cheap, but time will be less of an issue. Here's to a more relaxing New Year!
I hope all of you will find ways to de-stress your life in the coming year also. Get rid of all of the things you don't need, and take the time to enjoy the family and friends around you! Plant a garden, get out in the sun, and let the wind rip through your hair!

Here's to 2008 and enjoying all the small stuff.
Your husband must have been contributing because you adore him. There is no better indicator of the quality of a husband than how his wife feels about him. No one knows him better or sees him when he is feeling down like his wife. If you adore him he must be top grade.
I am also working on stressing less, reducing clutter (you get a lot with children), and being better prepared for the new year.
I'm also hoping to keep toys to a minimum, but I know that will be hard since she's the first grandchild on both sides of the family!
