Dreaming of Travel

I really want to travel! Of course nature photography would be a primary activity. These are some of my dream destinations:

Utah, Canyonlands & Arches National Parks (hike)

islands of outer Chesapeake Bay (kayak camping)

Grand Canyon (hike, raft on Colorado River)

Rocky Mountains (hike through wildflowers to mountain lakes & waterfalls)

Zion/Bryce National Parks (hike)

Outer Banks of NC (kayak camping)

Hawaii, mainly Kauai & Maui (hike to waterfalls, snorkel & kayak away from the crowds)

St Lawrence seaway (kayak w/ beluga whales)

Jellyfish Lake in Palau (kayak diving)

Great Barrier Reef (kayak diving)

Yellowstone & Yosemite (hike, watch wildlife)

Mediterranean, but only the isolated islands (kayak camping, hike)

Caribbean - all over (kayak, hike, dive)

Alaska - take a cruise up the coast & stop in small towns to (hike, kayak w/ whales)

Those all sound wonderful, Shannon! I have always wanted to see a volcano erupt ( the lava flows in Hawaii would do nicely!) and to visit Bora Bora. Have a travel-type 10!

We used to live in Utah. There's some incredible scenery there. But the trip I'd like most would be to see a volcano - Hawaii maybe. One day...

I hope someday you get to visit all of those places. I'd like to go to Europe and visit a lot of the countries there.

I lived in Alaska and I would love to go back and see how it has changed in more than 30 years. I would like to go on a cruse up the coast of Alaska, as I didn't when I lived there.

I lived and worked in Europe 30 years ago, and I would like to go back and visit the places I missed. I lived in Germany, Holland and England, and I would like to see some of the rest of Europe.

I've been to some of your favorites.

Caribbean - 4 islands in the Bahamas and Jamiaca

Alaska - take a cruise up the coast & stop in small towns to (hike, kayak w/ whales)

I've also been and would like to return to:
Turkey, France, England and various US desitnations.

Where I LOVE to go:
Egypt, Germany, Spain, Japan, China, Niagra, Yosemitee and an East coast driving trip.

I've been to Hawaii and Alaska and I'd have to say Hawaii is amazing for nature shots. Alaska...ehhh no so much on a cruise. There's just too many people around and you really can't get into nature without going on a tour or worrying about missing your ship. I'd love to go to Ireland or Egypt for photo ops.
