Putting up the Christmas tree is sooooooooo much more fun to me than taking it down. I always play the Christmas CD's and have the candles lit while we put up the tree and look at the different ornaments we have acquired through the years. Plus, the tree/lights always look so beautiful with the colorful packages and bows underneath.
Then after the unwrapping of the gifts, it always looks like a whirl-wind went through the living room. There are toy pieces, and gadgets and doo-dads strung everywhere. Santa was very generous to the kids this year. My husband and I got several gifts also from family/friends. So I am trying to muster up some motivation to maybe put a few things away where they belong. But yet sitting here typing on Gather is just a better attraction.
I will maybe put a few things away here and there, to tidy up underneath our tree. I think I will keep my Christmas tree and light outside up until after the new year. I was wondering when my Gather friends will take down your tree/decorations (if you have put them up this year). Do you have any traditions of how long you keep your Christmas tree up? Or do you just take it down whenever? DISCUSS!

Normally, I'm very regimented and the tree goes up on the day after Thanksgiving and comes down the day after Christmas. Like you I like putting it up more than taking it down. After Christmas the tree only represents work I still gotta do.
Our tree will probably still be up in February!! ha ha ha

This year, I am going to keep up our decorations at least until next weekend, as I have a childhood friend coming to visit on the 3rd.
been fortunate enough to
have a tree, I usually take
it down the day after Christmas
(or the day after that if I'm too
tired the day right after Christmas)
