I'm sitting here waiting for Roto-rooter

About 3:30, my daughter went up to take a shower. All of a sudden, I hear noises coming from the laundry room and see that the rug is wet. At first,I thought that water was coming through the ceiling (as if I could be that lucky!). Instead,water is coming up through the toilet and is all over the bathroom floor. We have a root problem and this happens periodically but did it have to happen on Christmas Day! I called Roto rooter and they told me they'd have someone here no later than 6 PM. It's now 6:16 and are they here - no. Can I call them - no,because my husband is on the phone speaking to his friend. Good,he just got off - so I will call them back and find out what's going on.   

I just got off the phone with them - their technicians are still tied up and they couldn't give me a time when someone could finally get here tonight. I told them just put me in for first thing tomorrow morning and nobody better flush tonight!

That has to stink to deal with that on Christmas day. I'm sorry. I could only imagine what roto-rooter would have charged you too, to come out on a holiday. I hope that you can make it through the night without having to flush.

How terrible, and today no less. Plastic bags will catch that stuff, at least it's only till tomorrow, hopefully. Oh yeah shut the water off to the toilet so you can't flush by accident, but you probably know that by now.

Oh man. That stinks. Don't feel bad though. Stuff like that usually happens to us at the worst possible time as well.

bummer for you and your family for this to happen on Chrsitmas day.... I think next year I'd plan ahead and do some preventive rooto rooter in advance
HUGS...that sucks big time! Don't let it suck all your happy away...at least it can be fixed eventually and you have a warm house...
