So the Holidays are Over Now What?

I have 2 or more applications for grad school to do .... and papers to write...and Shakespeare plays to read... oh, yeah... and I need to get my Syllabi and stuff done for next semester too :)

I'm on vacation until January 2nd so I'm going to try to relax and do some cleaning around the house.

I'm having a drop in at my house this weekend, my family and friends are coming to do some eating and talking, that will be the last of gatherings for the year. After that, take down decorations and get my house in order and start the new year off.

Getting some badly needing house organization done! Tired of clutter! Also preparing for my two oldest. They are coming back home in a couple of weeks for our 6 months, so there is school shopping to do etc.

Same ole thing around here except we'll be celebrating Hubby's BD tomorrow, we have some tree limbs to clear from one of the rental houses we manage for his mom, cept for that...I'm wide open!

I am going to try to get more organized before school starts:) I had a hard time keeping up with everything last semester, because I was so scattered!

Work as much overtime as possible. Because after the first of the year my hours will get cut way back!

same old thing

I do what i do every other day. Today was just another day as it is. I took all my decorations down yesterday and said the hell with Christmas. I'm no longer going to observe it in the future. With no family or friends or a significant other; I had no presents and spend the day alone. Hardly seems worth the bother anymore.

The real tree is coming down tomorrow, the rest in a day or two

Dear Danielle,
I just was typing you an email and all of a sudden it disappeared into thin air. If you get a note on here that isn't finished and not signed, it was me.

As I was going to say, before I got so rudely interrupted--I have a couple of doctor visits on the calendar for January. I see one in Billings in Feb. about knee replacement. Other than that I'll just keep the fire burning in the wood stove and cook and clean and just paly "Cinderella" I guess. In the spring we'll be tearing down the house we bought next door and remoldeling this one and building a garage. Trying to decide which bank to rob for the funds to do this with. Heck, I'd get caught and I don't know if they serve ice cream in jail, so I'd better not.

I still have boxes to unpack. We moved in Sept. (across from the city graveyard, no less). Then when I find my sledge hammer I'm going to knock out a wall and make our bedroom bigger. I waited until I was 60 to get a hope chest and now that I have one it's not going to sit outside on the deck. I told you I still get into mischief.

I sometimes wish I'd gone to college. My mother was a school teacher (a red-headed one at that) and I had a belly full of education in a formal setting. So I went out and got the school of hard knocks. Learned allot, but I don't know what use it is now. Kinda like fractions, you know?

Oh, I was going to tell you that we had a neighbor in Belgrade, MT that was from a place back there called "Bakersville" or some such name. They moved back there before we came to the ranch. I sure liked those people.

Well, all I know right now is that my daughter has a few more days home from school and then it's on to ~

Our holiday isn't officially over until New Year's Day. Friday we are having a family gathering to celebrate Christmas. It is nice to celebrate throughout the week.

Saturday my dad's family gets together, and the week after we are getting together with friends. My daughter turns 21 on January 3rd, and my son and his wife have their first anniversary on Jan. 6th. The next few weeks are still busy. Social Security has scheduled two appointments for me too. I am to get a mental evaluation tomorrow, and a physical on Jan 4th. I may get a rest after that.

Working at the book store while on vacation.from my real job. It's a fun time ,so I'm enjoying it. Attending a church volunteer party too. Planning on going crazy with my gifts cards!!!

Get the house back in order. The kids rooms need to be completely reorganized to make room for their new stuff.

My kitchen is destroyed from holiday baking and cooking. I think there is green dough up on the ceiling.

Pack up the decorations. Take down the outdoor lights.

Get ready for tax season.

I have a lot of cleaning to do and 11 more weeks of outpatient therapy to get through.

Now that the holidays are over, I'm going to work on that resolution my husband and I made not to take crap from anyone.

Twas the Night Before Christmas in the Nursing Home

My birthday is in 7 days, so I'll be celebrating that. Then I'll be moving out around Jan. 20th, so until then I'll be packing my stuff up, working, and getting my college situation fixed.

Well, I need to get walking on a more regular basis now if the weathe rcooperates. I also need to clean out my clothing closet and get some stuff off to good will and eBay. Finally, I need to start looking for a new job towards the end of January.

Just going to keep doing what we always do (hang around the house and run errands when necessary). Although we'll be going out of town to visit friends next Monday, but that's all the 'plans' we have for the immediate future :-)

I am glad they are over. I am behind on everything.

I have alot of cleaning to do and put away my christmas items. I get so tired and worn out now that I can get a little done then im tired again. Hopefully I get it caught up soon! Plus my birthday is coming up. January 3. I will be 24.

I'm actually working for a few days, tying up a few loose ends before I leave this job for good : )

I'm getting organized for the new year.

Business as usual here. Christmas brought about more mailings than usual as care packages were sent out. Other than that the day was spent quietly listening to music while I did things that I enjoyed. Now its back to the invigorating get up and go music while I do what I must, sigh.

same ol same ol.... I'll work on Saturday, Sunday, and Mondays.... spend Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays doing errands and cleaning.
