We left for a mini-vacation in Branson, MO on Dec. 20 and just got back a few hours ago. I didn't get many shots but here a few pics taken during that time, mostly family and a few sights.
The first night we went through the trail of lights. Most of the pics got erased but here is an odd shot taken from a moving vehicle.

The second night we went to Dixie Stampede but photography was not allowed during the show. The girls really liked the pre-show juggler and enjoyed the whole thing. The show we saw was the Christmas one and it was full of animals. Audience members were called down for various things. Some of the children participated in pig and chicken races.
Dinner was served early on during the main show and did not come w/ utensils, everything is supposed to be eaten by hand. The meal was whole chicken (everyone got one), a piece of pork tenderloin, piecce of corn on the cob, 1/2 a potato, cream of vegeteable soup, and a cheese biscuit. Dessert was an apple pastry. Both girls got their souvenier mugs (boot shaped mugs!) autographed by the juggler.
The kids unwound at a park beforehand. It was located in the neighborhood behind Dixie stampede.

Frog riding the bull at Tanger Outlets. We went there to pick up a Christmas gift. Tanger is just one of the outlet centers in Branson and has stores such as Nike, Limited Too (seen behind Frog), Claire's, Bath & Bodyworks and may others.

We had lunch at the Grand Country Buffet on Saturday and played Mini-golf there also. This mini-golf course is indoor and is lit with many colored lights. Every once in a while it will start to lightning and thunder and "rain" will fall into the water area (creek?) in the middle of the course room.

Frog felled by a golf club.....just kidding.

"I see naked people."

There was a bridge that you had to cross at the end of the tour, unless you cheated and took the coward's pass, where it felt like the room was spinning around. We didn't get any shots of that. Monkey and I played on the bridge for quite a while.
Monkey being silly

Branson is one of those places that is on my 'must see' list, and I hope to be able to visit on my way out west this coming summer.
