Good morning everyone and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!  How I have enjoyed this last year with all my new Gather Friends!!  You all have had such a positive influence on my life and I thank you very much for that!

I hope you all are having a wonderful season (snow or no)!  Well tomorrow is Christmas Eve and that is when the parties start here in my family.  Part of the presents are opened (and I need to remember to read "The First Christmas Story"!

Today I will be going to a Birthday Party for my Mom, daughter, & 3 cousins at my Aunt's house, so it will certainly be a very enjoyable day!

I would like to personally thank all of my dear friends who I have "Gathered" with throughout the year of 2007!  You all know who you are!  I'm hoping we also enjoy a wonderful 2008 together too!

And one more time, I want to wish each and your own a wonderful Holiday Season!  Love ya' all! Happy New Year 2008 Seasons Greetings Happy Kwanzaa 3D Elf With Candy Cane

Good morning Deb. I awakened to a pristine world so to speak. We have about 3-4 inches of new snow and a snow advisory out for more snow and wind. It will be a day inside for me I think.. Morning temp is only 9 degrees. Have a great day.

I love my gather friends, too, and I hope everyone has a safe and very happy holiday season. Enjoly your Christmas party. No party for me...I've still got a few gifts to buy, lots of wrapping to do. My goal is maybe to get out of the house in an hour or so. I'm really warn out from my all-day shopping blitz yesterday. We bought everything...gifts for all of our family along with wrapping paper, stocking stuffers, etc.

I have to work this afternoon, so am bummed about that. I have had everything ready for Christmas for a couple weeks now.

Right after Christmas, I am driving back over to the coast to my son's and of course, the roads are bad again.

Merry Christmas EVE!! Hope you are having a wonderful day. I am looking forward to about 24 hrs from now when most of the festivities will be done here. Then I will go to work til midnight, get up and head out for the coast again to have a small Christmas with my son and his daughter. I went out and bought him several bags of food: sausage, cheeses, crackers, nuts, candy. All the extras that he cannot routinely afford.

I am sure I wont be on much if any tomorrow. Christmas dinner and all. If anyone gets on it will probably be Tracy trying to catch up from here on her gathering some. Her computer at home is dial up and they need the phone free, oother than when she has to do online business. Her gathering is done from work. Which she is not supposed to do.

There is my daughter and Marge. Just got off the phone with Tracy. We had a really nice Christmas yesterday. Her and her brother got me a breadmaker. We will use it as soon as Donald figures it out.
So are you staying nice and warm Deb? It is a different kind of cold here in the south. The humidity makes you hurt. I have been to the colder states and the snow is actually warmer than our wet, humid, type of cold.It rained so hard this morning.

We will be celebrating Christmas again tomorrow morning. Not sure what we will do later. It was a relief to get here to blue skies and a temp of 43 after all the snow in the pass.

The pass was truly a winter wonderland though. All the snow on the trees looked just gorgeous.

hey Deb, I didnt know who I had talked to today. I have had one of those weeks, About the time I got on and put the cafe up, we had a plesant surprise. Don got a call to come get the little granddaughters. We have been playing with them and using my new breadmaker to see what all it can do.

I picked up leaves this week, too, Paula. Deb had been promising to come out and rake them but never made it.

This last week, when it was a tiny bit warm and the snow melted, I went out and picked up a bunch of the leaves. Maybe by spring they will all be picked up.

Don't know what I'm doing on New Year's Eve. Probably nothing. I have the evening off. Our downtown has a big First Night celebration. There are all sorts of activities - singing, dancing, various types of performances. I went once and it was neat to see so many people and families out wandering the streets late at night. My one dislike is that it's COLD out then!!! If it was about 60 degrees, it would be a lot more fun!

There are all sorts of storms forecast for the mountain passes over the next few days. I'm supposed to head home on Sunday. The eastbound highway through the pass is a fairly steep climb and chains are frequently required. There is no way I could put on chains. Will have to see what happens between now and Sunday.

There is an alternate way home that would avoid the mountains but it would turn a 300 mile trip into about a 550 mile trip!!! Not too attractive an alternative!

Boy Wilma cant win one those trips to the coast. If she makes it good going, coming back is always a disaster. I usually sit and worry about her until she lets me know she is safe at home and okay.

Hi, Deb. Madison and I had a pretty good day today. We spent 4+ hrs at her dad's until he had to go to work. Then we came back to the hotel for a while. Later went to the mall for dinner and our ice cream cone.

When we got back to the hotel, she went swimming for a while. She is hoping her dad will come back tomorrow morning here and go swimming with her for a while. Can't believe it's almost time to make the drive back home. I usually stay on Sunday until Madison's mom gets off work. I may have to leave earlier this time depending on the pass reports.

Deb, you be careful on the way to your cousins wedding today. !!!!! hmmm my little girl decided to talk to mom late last night. I have no idea, what either of us were doing up that late. I was so tired. We ended up keeping the little ones again and this is the very first time they were bad. they were ring tailed tooters yesterday. Of course, grandpa is never any help, he just sits there and watches TV,[a man thing] !!!! But yesterday he was busy installing his new Big Screen Tracy,s Boss gave him for building her a new entertainment center.

Hi, Norma. Just checking in here as Deb was on my page in the middle of the night. The winter storm warning for the pass is in effect from noon today to 6 PM tomorrow.

We went and picked up my son this morning and he came back and went swimming with Madison. They are watching TV here at the hotel right now as he doesn't have any cable connection at his apt.

Hi, I'm back for a minute. Wanted to thank you for the festive roll of Charmin!

It looks like I should have gone back home today. As of 2:30 PM, the road through the pass is bare and wet with no snowfall!!! I hope they are wrong about the winter storm warnings. Both of Madison's parents are working right now, so I can't really jump in the car and leave!!
