Blessed not stressed this Christmas!

It amazes me still that celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus brings out so much hostility and stresses people out so much. That is truly not what God had in mind nor what He wants for us.

For our little family, this is turning out to be a tuned down Christmas, but one that is full of love and creating lifelong memories for us.

It is hard to top some of the wonderful Christmas messages and poems I have read without sounding repetitive. Nonetheless, I am going to try.

I hope you can all take the time out to appreciate those more "spontaneous" or "little miracle" moments rather than looking for something to be "bigger" or "better" than Christmases gone by.

Reading all of your stories, both the struggles and triumphs has helped me to rexamine my life and give thanks to God for His many blessings, including the troubles He has kept me from daily.

A blessed Christmas to all of my Gather friends and readers. It has truly been a pleasure to showcase my writing and talk with all of you this year. I can't thank you enough for your support and inspiration. Remember, I am always just an email away.

2008 promises bigger, better writing for you and hopefully a published novel, God willing.

~To friends and family in my life now, God Bless your Christmas! Wherever you are at this moment know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Have a safe, peaceful and memorable Christmas 2007. You are with me in spirit. Much love to you all.

I'm usually very stressed during the holidays. But this year I am focusing on the reason for the season and feeling blessed that I have my family.

God bless Kim, I still think too many buy into those TV ads to make them happy during the holiday season. A lot of people get depressed when they can't afford little if anything on TV.

Thanks Kim. It amazing how exchanging a gift at Christmas time has turned into a gift giving competition. We have decided to go back to the basics this year also and enjoy the true meaning of the holiday.

Kim - Christmas used to feel like a time to be judged in my family. It was a time to gain or lose material status. I never fit in with it, and truthfully never wanted to either. I enjoy Chrstmastime for the warm feelings that it brings. I look forward to spending the day with the people that I love and care about...and being able to call the ones that I am not able to spend it with. It has taken on such a different meaning over the years...and I praise God for that! God bless

I am so blessesd, I got my Christmas gift this AM at church......my father sang for the first time in about 6 months with our adult choir (he is a heart patient and has had some severe difficulty with shortness of breath that he has not been able to sing). Just seeing and hearing him sing brought tears to my eyes......my husband asked me just minutes ago what was the name of the first song the choir sang....I stated I don't even know,--all I can remember is the choir singing and my father pouring his heart out....that was a sight for me to behold!!!!
